Abstract: An aerosol-generating system includes a main body, a cartridge, and a connecting component. The main body includes a main body housing enclosing a power supply. The cartridge includes a cartridge housing enclosing a reservoir of liquid aerosol-forming substrate. The cartridge is releasably connectable to the main body by the connecting component. The connecting component is fixed to the main body housing and is less stiff in at least one direction than the main body housing. The connecting component that is less stiff the main body housing and the cartridge housing can act as a shock absorber when the aerosol-generating system experiences a significant impact, such as when dropped on a surface. This reduces damage to other components of the system and, in particular, may prevent leaks of liquid resulting from damage to the liquid reservoir.

Abstract: An exhaust system comprises an engine, a three-way catalytic converter including a first catalyst and a second catalyst, a tailpipe adjacent to the three-way catalytic converter, a first oxygen sensor disposed between the engine and the catalytic converter, a nitrogen oxides (NOx) sensor disposed in the three-way catalytic converter, and an engine control module (ECM) configured to obtain first oxygen sensor data from the first oxygen sensor, second oxygen sensor data from the NOx sensor, and NOx sensor data from the NOx sensor, the ECM being configured to perform catalyst health diagnostic operations and adjust one or more characteristics of the exhaust system based on at least the first oxygen sensor data, the second oxygen sensor data, and the NOx sensor data.

Abstract: A method for detecting belt slip in a starter system for starting an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, the starter system including a belt-driven integrated starter generator. A control unit of the motor vehicle evaluates a belt slip as detected if a determined belt slip value exceeds a limit value. The belt slip value is determined to belong to a defined time window T, which opens after a start of the internal combustion engine. This determination takes into account at least one change in velocity over time value of the starter generator within the time window T. A motor vehicle with a control unit designed to carry out the method is also included.

Abstract: A shifter assembly for an electric vehicle includes a base, a shifter handle, and a plurality of actuators. The base defines an opening. The system may use a switching antenna for both microwave heating of target tissue and microwave radiometry to monitor the temperature of the heated tissue to ensure that the desired temperatures are delivered to adequately treat the target tissue and achieve therapeutic goals. The system may integrate switching components into the switching antenna, which eliminates error from heating of the reference termination and heating of the electrical cables.
