  • Patent number: 12293926
Abstract: An inorganic substrate with an improved via shape and methods for facilitating formation of such improved via shape are disclosed. A double-sided opening process may be applied to an inorganic substrate to form openings at the ends of a damage track previously formed in the inorganic substrate. One side of the inorganic substrate may then be sealed, such as by being temporarily bonded to a carrier or blocking substrate, so that a single-sided opening process may be applied to the other unsealed or unblocked surface of the inorganic substrate. The single-sided opening process may enlarge at least one of the openings formed by the double-sided opening process and may enlarge a channel between the openings to form a via having an advantageous shape.

  • Patent number: 12293194
Abstract: This document describes techniques and apparatuses that enable determining expected hash-values in functions with control flow. A computing device receives a function comprising function instructions within at least three basic blocks connected via multiple execution paths. Hash-input instructions are inserted within a plurality of the basic blocks that indirectly force hash values at the respective insertion points. Hash values at ends of the plurality of the basic blocks are set to a canonical value and an expected hash-value and hash input-values are calculated using a hash function. By using the canonical value and the hash input-values, the expected hash-value is the same regardless of which execution path is executed.

  • Patent number: 12291169
Abstract: While a vehicle is off, an automatic trigger strategy activates a heating device that melts snow and ice off exterior vehicle sensors as it is needed. The automatic trigger strategy determines when to turn on the heating device while the vehicle is in a limited power state by using data pulled from memory or data obtained from a current data check. Collected, analyzed, and stored during key-off, data pulled from memory allows the invention to accurately choose the correct time to start the heating device without consuming additional power. If current data checks are required because data saved at key-off is not enough information to execute a decision, the invention may determine the least power consuming data checks. A power manager extends a threshold that is dependent on the energy reserve. Once the energy reserve is below the threshold, the power manager inactivates the heating device and voids manual commands.

  • Patent number: 12292998
Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for identifying personal identifiers in content. An entity engine may receive content to identify candidate personal identifiers. The entity engine may determine that a text string in the content matches to a data format specified in entity definitions corresponding to types of personal identifiers and a rule for finding a geographic or linguistic term in the content correlated to the specific type of personal identifier. Each entity definition may specify a data format for finding a specific type of personal identifier in content. The data format corresponds to a type of personal identifier. The entity engine may identify, according to a rule of the first entity definition, a geographic or linguistic term in the content correlated to the type of personal identifier. The entity engine may classify the text string as the type of personal identifier, for preventing data breach or exfiltration.
