Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for mixing and heat exchange of fluids. In one example, a fluid mixing and heat exchange device includes a hot water tank, a mixing chamber spaced away from the hot water tank and fluidly coupled to a first liquid reservoir, a first chilling module fluidly coupled to the mixing chamber, a coolant tank fluidly coupled to the first chilling module, a radiator fluidly coupled to the coolant tank, and a dispensing manifold fluidly coupled to the mixing chamber and adapted to dispense a mixed and chilled fluid mixture to a plurality of fluid vessels.

Abstract: An apparatus may include a memory to store instructions; and processing circuitry, coupled with the memory, operable to execute the instructions. When executed, the instructions may cause the processing circuitry to identify a matrix code; read a first layer of the matrix code, the first layer comprising a first account identifier associated with an account, wherein the first layer corresponds to a first color channel; and read a second layer of the matrix code, the second layer comprising a set of account data, associated with the account, wherein the second layer corresponds to a second color channel, different than the first color channel.

Abstract: A computer system includes a content delivery system that delivers digital content from a source to a mobile device, which in turn presents the digital content to a recipient computer system. The recipient computer system can validate that the digital content presented by the mobile device is authorized by the source of that digital content without the recipient computer system communicating with the content delivery system for such validation. Digital content presented on a mobile phone can be validated by a recipient as being authorized by a source, without a connection to a centralized database. To perform such validation, the computer system uses i) a transaction location determined at the time of a transaction based on information received from the mobile device, and ii) a time-varying, non-predictable code associated with the transaction location.

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are systems, methods, devices, and machine-readable mediums for improved communications between a software-defined radio front-end device and a network-based computing device. Rather than packetize samples together, same bit positions from multiple ADC samples may be packetized together. If a Quality of Service (QoS) metric of the network connection between the RF front-end device and the network-based processing computing drops below a threshold, the RF front-end device may prioritize sending packets with the more significant bits over packets with less significant bits. In other examples, the RF front-end device may prioritize samples corresponding to certain data types over other data types.

Abstract: A system includes one or more electronic devices of an autonomous vehicle and a computer-readable storage medium having one or more programming instructions. The system identifies an actor in an environment of the autonomous vehicle that is exhibiting unrecognized behavior or that has exhibited unrecognized behavior within a certain time period, and generates a circle associated with the actor, wherein the circle has a radius that is a function of a velocity of the actor. The system identifies one or more target points associated with the actor, where each target point represents a point along a possible route of the actor, and each target point is located along a circumference of the circle. The system assigns a score to each target point, selects the target point associated with the lowest score, and generates a reference path from the actor to the selected target point.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to communicating with and controlling operation of electronically-controlled appliances. In one scenario, a computer system receives a first input from a computing system indicating that an electronically-controlled appliance is permitted to communicate with a cloud computing platform. The computer system generates a notification that is to be sent to a software application, where the software application is configured to control functions of the electronically-controlled appliance. The computer system transmits the generated notification to the software application, where the generated notification indicates that the cloud computing platform is communicably connected to the electronically-controlled appliance.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting a flashing light on one or more traffic signal devices. The method includes capturing a series of images of one or more traffic signal elements in a traffic signal device over a length of time. The method further includes, for each traffic signal element, analyzing the series of images to determine one or more time periods at which the traffic signal element is in an on state or an off state, and analyzing the time periods to determine one or more distinct on states and one or more distinct off states. The method further includes identifying one or more cycles correlating to a distinct on state immediately followed by a distinct off state, or a distinct off state immediately followed by a distinct on state, and, upon identifying a threshold number adjacent cycles, classifying the traffic signal element as a flashing light.

Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for executing gesture operations are provided. A touchpad gesture manager and a touchscreen gesture manager may be maintained. Both managers may comprise the identities of gesture operations and conditions for executing the gesture operations. The conditions for one or more touchscreen gesture operations may be the same as the conditions for one or more corresponding touchpad gesture operations. The gestures that have same conditions for the touchscreen and the touchpad may comprise application window operations and virtual desktop transition operations. In some examples, one or more display elements, animations, or intermediate operations may be different in executing the touchscreen operations than for executing the touchpad operations.

In some embodiments, the dasher board assembly defines a gap behind the dasher board to allow space for deceleration. In certain embodiments, a foam material is placed between the dasher board and a frame of the assembly. In embodiments, a spline connects adjacent dasher boards without rigid connection to adjacent vertical frame elements. In embodiments, the assembly is configured to provide puck play characteristics that are comparable to conventional dasher board assemblies.

The wireless power transmission device for a vehicle may transmit a signal for detection of a wireless power reception device by using a lower frequency band that is different from an operating frequency band used to control the vehicle. The wireless power transmission device may receive a response signal for the transmitted signal and a power control signal from the wireless power reception device. The wireless power transmission device may control an operating frequency or a voltage (or both) in the wireless power transmission device for the vehicle according to the power control signal. The wireless power transmission device may transmit wireless power to the wireless power reception device.

Abstract: A temperature measurement sensor for use in a nuclear reactor is described. The sensor includes a first neutron detector member and a second neutron detector member. The first neutron detector includes an outer shield material with an effective neutron capture cross section that is temperature dependent. The first neutron detector member outputs a first current signal and the second neutron detector member outputs a second current signal. An electrical connection between the first and second neutron detector members produces a net current that is the difference in current between the first and second signals. The difference is proportional to changes in temperature.

Abstract: An online meeting service is configured to determine whether a prospective meeting participant is among a known group of trusted users (e.g., logged in to a trusted domain). If the prospective meeting participant is validated as a trusted user, they may join a meeting without additional steps. If the prospective meeting participant is not validated as a trusted user, they may consent to have the meeting organizer view them through their camera in order to confirm that they may have meeting access. If the organizer recognizes the prospective participant through the camera image (still or video), the organizer may admit them to the meeting.

Abstract: A manager agent access a grain hierarchy that represents a state for a computation that is to performed by a distributed processing system, wherein the grain hierarchy includes manager agent grains including metadata for manager agent processes that manage the performance of the computation by the distributed processing system, and worker agent grains including, for tasks to be performed by the distributed processing system, metadata for worker agents that each correspond to a subset of the plurality of data processors for performing the task. A manager agent performs processes defined by a manager agent grain to manage the computation by worker agents and storing, within the grain, metadata describing the manager agent process performed by the manager agent, and worker agents perform tasks assigned to the worker agents based on an assignment of a respective worker agent grain to the worker agent.

A first device call request is received with a second device mobile address. The asynchronous systems include instructions to automatically modify the mobile address with a routing prefix when the first device has insufficient balance or independent of balance, route to the asynchronous signaling switch based on an associated modified address trunk path, revert the modified call signal at the asynchronous signaling switch to the call signal, and deliver and automatically disconnect the call immediately when the call is completed.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for generating natural language sentences with Sequence-to-sequence (Seq2Seq) models with attention. The Seq2Seq models may be implemented in applications, such as machine translation, image captioning, and speech recognition. Performance has further been improved by leveraging unlabeled data, often in the form of a language models. Disclosed herein are “Cold Fusion” architecture embodiments that leverage a pre-trained language model during training. The Seq2Seq models with Cold Fusion embodiments are able to better utilize language information enjoying faster convergence, better generalization, and almost complete transfer to a new domain while using less labeled training data.
