  • Patent number: 11216522
Abstract: In general, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for receiving user input that defines a search query, and providing the search query to a server system. Information that a search engine system determined was responsive to the search query is received at a computing device. The computing device is identified as in a first state, and a first output mode for audibly outputting at least a portion of the information is selected. The first output mode is selected from a collection of the first output mode and a second output mode. The second output mode is selected in response to the computing device being in a second state and is for visually outputting at least the portion of the information and not audibly outputting the at least portion of the information. At least the portion of information is audibly output.

  • Patent number: 11218949
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for accessing a local data network via a mobile data connection. One apparatus (500) includes a processor (505) and a transceiver (525) that communicates with a mobile communication network. The processor (505) receives (605) a downlink data packet from a first data connection (303) over the mobile communication network, the first data connection (303) providing the apparatus (500) with access to a remote data network (125). The processor (505) determines (610), from the downlink data packet, whether the first data connection (303) provides access to a local data network (135) in addition to the remote data network (125). In response to the first data connection (303) providing access to the local data network (135), the processor (505) accesses (615) one or more services via the local data network (135).

  • Patent number: 11218457
Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to blockchain and other security technology. In one example of the technology, a first node is endorsed. During endorsement of a first node, a pre-determined type of blockchain or other security protocol code to be authorized and a pre-determined membership list are stored in a trusted execution environment (TEE) of the first node. A determination is made as to whether the membership lists and pre-determined blockchain or other security protocol code to be authorized from the proposed members match. If so, TEE attestation is used to verify that nodes associated with prospective members of the consortium store the pre-determined type of blockchain or other security protocol code to be authorized. Upon TEE attestation being successful, a consortium network is bootstrapped such that the prospective members become members of the consortium network.

  • Patent number: 11219083
Abstract: A wireless communication device identifies an access point for a wireless network. The device initiates a connection procedure to establish a wireless connection between the wireless communication device and the access point, and the connection procedure includes: (i) selecting a degraded set of uplink transmission quality parameters that correspond to a higher signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio than a baseline set of uplink transmission quality parameters, and (ii) transmitting messages from the wireless communication device to the access point during the connection procedure according to the degraded set of uplink transmission quality parameters. The wireless network connection can be established between the wireless communication device and the access point as a result of completion of the connection procedure, despite the wireless communication device transmitting messages to the access point during the connection procedure according to the degraded set of uplink transmission quality parameters.
