Abstract: A method of anchoring a suture into a pilot hole in bone utilizing a suture anchor. A lumen-defining circular soft wall, having a first and second end, is slidably engaged to a piece of suture, a first length of which extends from the first end of the wall and is threaded through the lumen from the second end, and a second length of which extends from the second end and is threaded through the lumen from the first end. The suture anchor is introduced into the pilot hole so that the first length and second length of suture material extend out of the pilot hole. The first length and second length are pulled on alternately, thereby permitting the suture anchor structure to slide on the piece of suture material, and to be compacted evenly by the pulling, until the suture anchor is set in the pilot hole.
Abstract: Aspects described herein may provide detection of a physical characteristic of a credential, thereby allowing for authentication of the credential. According to some aspects, these and other benefits may be achieved by detecting the physical characteristic with the credential in two or more orientations. A first image of a credential in a first orientation and a second image of the credential in a second orientation may be received. An optical characteristic of a secure feature of the credential may be determined based on light reflected from the secure feature in both the first image and the second image. An expected optical characteristic of the secure feature may be determined based on known properties of the secure feature. A determination as to whether the credential is authentic may be based how a comparison of the determined optical characteristic of the secure feature to the expected optical characteristic of the secure feature.

A punch portion is coaxial with the central axis and extends from the body portion such that the annular-shaped surface encircles the punch portion, the punch portion includes an outer peripheral surface extending in the direction of the central axis. A plurality of spaced apart lugs encircle the punch portion and axially projecting outwards from the annular-shaped surface, one of the lugs has a contact face configured to engage the metal substrate, the contact face declining, relative to an imaginary horizontal plane on which the annular-shaped surface lies, in a radially outwards direction of the self-clinching fastener.
Abstract: A provider, such as a transportation management service, can manage transport for a number of riders between various locations. A customer can request transport between different locations. The provider may analyze the request for salient information, such as information corresponding to a start and end location, and determine whether there are errors in the salient information that would prevent the provider from providing the requested service. When the provider detects errors, the provider may request additional information from the customer in order to correct the errors.
Abstract: In one example, a system comprises a central unit and a radiating point located remotely from the central unit and communicatively coupled to the central unit. The radiating point is configured to provide radio frequency signals to a coverage zone via one or more antennas. The system further comprises a radar sensor communicatively coupled to the radiating point and configured to capture image data in the coverage zone of the radiating point, wherein the radar sensor includes a plurality of transmitters and receivers coupled to an antenna array. One or more components of the system are configured to determine user detection data for users in the coverage zone based on the image data captured by the radar sensor and adjust the power consumption of the radiating point based on the user detection data.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and software are disclosed herein for facilitating enhanced canvas presentation environments. In an implementation, a user interacts with a touch-enabled display system capable of displaying items on a canvas. In response to a gesture made by the user with respect to an item being displayed, a format-specific interaction model is identified based on a format associated with the item. A response to the gesture may then be determined using the interaction model and the response rendered for display.

Abstract: A downhole tool, or earth-boring bit, for use in disintegrating structures in a cased wellbore includes a tool body having a central axis about which the tool body rotates and an outermost gage surface on the tool body. At least one gage cutting element on the gage surface has a blunt outermost projection and a sharp cutting edge recessed from the blunt outermost projection, wherein, during rotation of the tool body, the blunt outermost surface contacts the cased wellbore and the sharp cutting edge does not. The blunt outermost projection may be on a leading element while the sharp cutting edge is on a separate, trailing element.
Abstract: An inter-axle differential (IAD) assembly including a unitary IAD case having one or more spaced-apart apertures extending therethrough, wherein each of the IAD case apertures defines a groove, and a spider having a plurality of radially, outwardly extending legs, wherein one or more of the legs include an opening at an outward end thereof, and wherein each IAD case apertures are aligned with each of the leg openings. The IAD assembly further includes a locking mechanism having one or more fastening elements, wherein the fastening elements are selectively inserted through the IAD case apertures and into the one or more leg openings and/or into the grooves of the IAD case apertures.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a high side heat exchanger, a flash tank, a load, a compressor, and a heat exchanger. The high side heat exchanger removes heat from a refrigerant. The flash tank stores the refrigerant from the high side heat exchanger and to discharge a flash gas. The load uses the refrigerant from the cool a space proximate the load. The compressor compresses the refrigerant from the load. The heat exchanger transfers heat from the refrigerant from the compressor to the flash gas before the refrigerant from the compressor reaches the high side heat exchanger. The heat exchanger directs the flash gas to the compressor after heat from the refrigerant from the compressor is transferred to the flash gas and directs the refrigerant from the compressor to the high side heat exchanger after heat from the refrigerant from the compressor is transferred to the flash gas.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided herein for increasing an efficiency of an evaporative emissions system of a vehicle by adjusting a purge flow in response to a predicted vapor slug. In one example, a method for an engine of a vehicle includes, upon approaching a location of a predicted vapor slug, ramping down a purge flow rate from a fuel vapor canister to an engine intake, the location of the predicted vapor slug inferred based on communication of the vehicle with one or more other vehicles and/or a network cloud.
Abstract: Techniques for aligning and stabilizing images generated by an integrated stereo camera pair with images generated by a detached camera are disclosed. A first image is generated using a first stereo camera; a second image is generated using a second stereo camera; and a third image is generated using the detached camera. A first rotation base matrix is computed between the third and first images, and a second rotation base matrix is computed between the third and second images. The third image is aligned to the first image using the first rotation base matrix, and the third image is aligned to the second image using the second rotation base matrix. A first overlaid image is generated by overlaying the third image onto the first image, and a second overlaid image is generated by overlaying the third image onto the second image. The two overlaid images are parallax corrected and displayed.
