  • Patent number: 11209043
Abstract: The socket assembly has a housing with an inner bore which extends from a first end to a second end. A ball portion of a ball stud is received in the inner bore. A backing bearing is disposed in the inner bore and presents a curved bearing surface in surface-to-surface contact with the ball portion. A first spring biases the backing bearing against the ball portion. The socket assembly also includes an exit bearing with a cylindrical portion that is in contact with an equator of the ball portion and a semi-spherical portion that is in surface-to-surface contact with an opposite hemisphere from the first bearing surface. A second spring biases the exit bearing into a predetermined location established by the housing. • Patent number: 11209413
Abstract: A method of application to provide a workable solution for tracking the hardness of water utilizing an ion selective electrode by tracking the relative hardness of water at the outflow or egress of an ion exchange column. A monovalent cation exchange membrane (ion selective electrode) distinguishes hard water and softened water in a water flow stream. A voltage is applied across the membrane, facilitating the movement of sodium though the membrane (such that anions and divalent ions are excluded), and the current is measured. The change in current (delta current) is used to determine the hard water concentration or level of hardness in an influent stream. A second application estimates or detects the exhaustion of an ion exchanger, and/or determines the regeneration time/cycle of the ion exchanger through the use of an ion selective membrane. Blending of the influent hard water and effluent soft water allows a user to control hardness levels of the effluent.

  • Patent number: 11212236
Abstract: A method for utilizing elastic resource pooling techniques to dynamically rebalance throughput includes determining, for each of multiple tenants leasing computing resources of a shared resource pool, a desired claim to resources in the shared resource pool. The desired claim is based on a number of resource access requests received in association with each of the multiple tenants. The method further includes determining, for each of the multiple tenants, a guaranteed claim and a maximum potential claim on the shared resource pool; and allocating a surplus resource pool among the multiple tenants based on the determined maximum potential claim and the desired claim for each one of the multiple tenants, the surplus resource pool representing a remainder of the shared resource pool after the guaranteed claim for each of the tenants is satisfied via an initial resource allocation from the shared resource pool.

  • Patent number: 11212035
Abstract: A communication interface receives data points including link quality and link usage measurements related to a mobile computing device associated with the wireless network during a sampling interval. A processing device weights each data point based on at least one metric included in the link quality measurement and associated with a link usage measurement. Each weighted data point is evaluated against one or more thresholds. A weighted data point is discarded based on a result of the threshold comparison or assigned to one of a plurality of link quality bins based on a consolidated measure of the link quality measurements. A coverage quality score is computed based on a ratio of a total count of weighted link quality measurements in at least one of the plurality of link quality bins to a total count of weighted link quality measurements in all of the link quality bins.

  • Patent number: 11210080
Abstract: Managing updates to executable programming code on a computer system in a computer network. A maintenance service utility is configured to launch a maintenance procedure at a specified time during operation of the computer system. Operation of a maintenance timer utility is activated during startup of the computer system to track and monitor the amount of time the computer system has been operating since startup. The maintenance service utility determines if there any updates to the executable programming code that require installation. The maintenance procedure is launched after a specified time if there are updates to the executable programming code. The computer system is automatically rebooted to install the updates to the executable programming code. A maintenance service editor utility enables the maintenance service utility to be configured to launch the maintenance procedure after a specified time if there are updates to the executable programming code.
