Abstract: A tent canvas which can be unfolded from a trailer after opening a hinged trailer cover is supported by a central ridge pole which is pivotally mounted on the trailer and by two roof-edge poles which are slidably mounted on the posts of the central ridge pole. A linking rod is pivotally connected at one end to each roof-edge pole and at the other end to the free end of the central ridge pole. The tent canvas is automatically unfolded and tensioned simply as a result of opening of the trailer cover without any need for tensioning cables.
