The operating data communication component has a mounting region by which it is mounted on an attachment region of the apparatus housing. The attachment region is located on an inside of an outer wall of the apparatus housing.

Abstract: A method for ascertaining, without an encoder, a rotational angle position of the rotor of a brushless DC motor, includes the steps of: detecting a voltage induced in a stator of the brushless DC motor; checking whether the voltage induced in the stator is lower than a threshold value; and if the induced voltage is lower than the threshold value, then ascertaining an initial rotational angle position of the rotor based on an Indirect Flux detection by Online Reactance Measurement, and subsequently updating the rotational angle position proceeding from the calculated initial rotational angle position using at least one continuous test signal.

Abstract: A cutter head for a brush cutter has a base body with top base body part and bottom base body part. A screw element is arranged at the bottom base body part for attachment to an output shaft of the brush cutter. A receptacle for fastening a cutting tool is provided between top and bottom base body parts. The base body is rotatably driven in operation of the brush cutter about an axis of rotation of the base body. The top and bottom base body parts are held together by a detachable snap-on connection. The snap-on connection is positioned at a distance, measured in a radial direction, from the axis of rotation of the base body. The distance amounts to at most 40% of the cutter head diameter. For releasing the snap-on connection, the top and bottom base body parts are pulled apart from each other by a pulling force.

The assembly body has a head securing element with a cable conduit. A conduit width of the cable conduit is larger than or equal to a cable width of the disposed cable portion and smaller than a head width of the disposed sensor head such that the head securing element is configured for securing in a form-fitting manner the sensor head disposed in the head disposal region in relation to a movement in the direction of the cable disposal region. The assembly body has a cable securing element.

The control device is designed to control a target slope rate of a rotational speed of the electric motor drive system in dependence on a position of the operating element according to at least one allocation in such a way that maximum target slope rates of the rotational speed differ for different positions.

Abstract: A battery pack has a closed housing with an inner receiving space for several battery cells. The housing has a general basic shape with first and second side walls. The side walls of the housing are made of a heat-conducting material. The inner surfaces of the side walls limit the receiving space. In order to create a thermally balanced battery pack, a cell assembly including several battery cells is accommodated in the receiving space. A battery cell has flat sides and edge sides. The battery cells lie with their flat sides stacked next to each other such that there are outer battery cells and inner battery cells. The outer battery cells rest with their flat sides in a flat and heat-transferring manner against the inner surfaces of the first side walls of the housing, and the inner battery cells are heat-transferring to the outer battery cells of the cell assembly.

Abstract: A generator provides a supply voltage for an electrical consumer. It includes an internal combustion engine driving the generator. An electrical control unit has an incoming electrical line for supplying an operating voltage thereto. The control unit further has at least one outgoing electrical line. The outgoing electrical line is connected to at least one operating unit that is necessary for operating the internal combustion engine. In order to switch off the internal combustion engine in the event of an increased CO concentration in the vicinity of the generator, a breaker is arranged in an electrical line of the control unit. The breaker is controlled by a CO sensor, which is designed to open the breaker and interrupt the electrical line when a predeterminable CO limit value is exceeded.

Abstract: A two-stroke engine includes a cylinder having a combustion chamber. The combustion chamber is delimited by a piston guided in a reciprocating manner in the cylinder and drives a crankshaft. A first intake channel opens into the crankcase interior. A transfer channel opens into the crankcase interior via a transfer window on a cylinder bore of the cylinder and via a passage opening. A second intake channel is provided for supplying scavenging air to the transfer channel. The first intake channel and the second intake channel are configured for supplying air. An injection valve configured for injecting the entire quantity of fuel to be supplied to the engine directly into the crankcase interior is disposed on the crankcase. A method for operating a two-stroke engine provides that the entire quantity of fuel to be supplied to the engine via a metering installation is supplied directly to the crankcase interior.

In the direction of view perpendicular to the longitudinal plane, the longitudinal axis of the handle and the rotational axis of the blocking lever conjointly define an angle (?). The angle (?) lies in a range of from 10° to 60°.

Abstract: A method adapts an apparatus to a motor-driven tool from a set of different types of motor-driven tools. The apparatus is arranged on the tool. The method has the steps of: capturing an identifier of the tool by way of the apparatus, and transmitting an item of type-specific configuration information from a database to the apparatus on the basis of the captured identifier in such a manner that the apparatus is designed to process operating data of the tool in a type-specific manner.

Abstract: A device for charging a battery pack includes a first battery compartment for a first battery pack and at least one second battery compartment for a further battery pack. The device is connected to a service voltage via a power supply unit. A voltage regulator is connected to the power supply and has a power output connected to the battery compartment. To charge battery packs with different performance data in a battery compartment, a first voltage regulator with a first power output for a first maximum charging current and at least one second voltage regulator having a second power output a second maximum charging current are provided. A switch arrangement is provided, which is designed to selectively connect the power output of a voltage regulator to only one battery compartment or the power outputs of at least two voltage regulators can be connected to just one battery compartment.

Abstract: A two-stroke engine possesses a cylinder, in the cylinder bore of which a combustion chamber is formed. The combustion chamber is bounded by a reciprocating piston, which drives a crankshaft rotatably mounted in a crankcase. A crankcase interior is fluidically connected to the combustion chamber across at least one transfer channel in at least one position of the piston. The at least one transfer channel emerges with a discharge opening in the crankcase interior and with at least one transfer window on the cylinder bore. It is proposed that all transfer channels have an average length as measured from the discharge opening to the transfer window, the average length being at least 1.5 in relation to the stroke, and that the volume of the crankcase interior including all transfer channels is at most 3.1 in relation to the piston displacement.

The indexing device has a rotational stop formed in a slot in a wall of the trimmer line spool and limiting rotation of the trimmer line spool relative to the housing in the inoperative state.
