Patent number: 5640895Abstract: A cooking grill apparatus having superposed, vertically separable, heated grill plates, the uppermost one of which is pivotally connected to the outer ends of two laterally spaced arms which pivot simultaneously about an elevated horizontal pivot axis whereby the upper grill is moveable about such pivot axis with and selectively relative to such spaced arms. The upper grill carries a pair of like parallelogram linkage systems along its lateral margins which include adjustable stop means for engaging parallel stationary reference surfaces paralleling the plane of the cooking surface for the stationary lower grill plate. Selected movement of the parallelogram linkage system to change the vertical position of the stop means is determined by selectively operable gauge means for limiting movement of the linkage systems and thus movement of the stop means towards the references surfaces whereby the spacing between the two grill plates during cooking operation is correspondingly selectively limited.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 1995Date of Patent: June 24, 1997Assignee: Anetsberger Brothers, Inc.Inventor: Richard J. Anetsberger

Patent number: 5595106Abstract: A compact, bagel-proofing kettle structure of substantially square or rectangular configuration having an open top and a planar bottom over covered by a perforated grid plate operable to promote water turbulence during boiling. The kettle is featured by planar side walls and removeable interior baffles mounted to provide radiused interior corners for the kettle which promotes free, uninterrupted circulation of raw bagels about the kettle's interior during the dough proofing operation without damaging the bagels.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1995Date of Patent: January 21, 1997Assignee: Anetsberger Brothers, Inc.Inventor: Richard J. Anetsberger

Patent number: 5277569Abstract: A dough rounder machine for kneading and forming dough and similar plastic masses into uniformly shaped form in which the dough is placed in an annular die driven by eccentric drive means over a stationary horizontal tray table whereby to move the die in a generally circular orbit over the table. Dough placed in the die is overcovered by a weighted cover which orbits with the die and is gravity actuated to exert vertical force on the dough. Engagement of the dough with the table, orbiting die and cover serves to knead and roll the dough into a substantially spherical mass, the texture and density of which is regulatable by the cover weight and movement of the die over a limited time interval.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 1992Date of Patent: January 11, 1994Assignees: Anetsberger Brothers, Inc, Little Caesars Enterprises, Inc.Inventor: Richard J. Patent number: 4972766Abstract: A cooking grill having dual heating platens for cooking meats, poultry, fish and like products; the grill having a stationary lower grill platen superposed by a top grill platen selectively moveable to and between four operating positions about one or two pivotal axes; the grill platens being formed with longitudinal lands and grooves to facilitate speed of cooking and moisture release from the cooking products; the lands serving to char spaced areas of the cooked product to emulate charcoal broiling thereof.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 1990Date of Patent: November 27, 1990Assignee: Anetsberger Brothers, Inc.Inventor: Richard J. Anetsberger

Patent number: 4939987Abstract: An electrical control system for regulating the humidity of an enclosed atmosphere in a dough proof box or the like, comprising a cast metal steamer tray, incorporating an electrical heating element operable to heat the tray between selected upper and lower temperature limits determined by a thermostat responsive to temperatures of the tray casting. A time controlled valve supplies water to the tray for selected time intervals when the thermostat senses the tray's upper temperature. A humidistat controls operation of the thermostat. As a result, the steamer tray is heated between high and low limits and supplied with measured amounts of water to effect rapid generation of limited quantities of steam to satisfy the humidity levels demanded by the humidistat.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 1989Date of Patent: July 10, 1990Assignee: Anetsberger Brothers, Inc.Inventor: Mark J. Smith

Patent number: 4460818Abstract: Safety interlock for operating handle of drain valve of deep fat fryer which blocks valve-opening movement of operating handle and is movable to unblocking position and thereby shuts off fry pot burner, subsequent valve-opening movement of handle maintaining interlock in unblocking position and interlock automatically returning to handle-blocking position upon movement of handle to valve-closing position.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 1981Date of Patent: July 17, 1984Assignee: Anetsberger Brothers, Inc.Inventors: John A. Anetsberger, Richard J. Anetsberger

Patent number: 4255106Abstract: A manually fed dough sheeter safely operable by anyone because of novel guard mechanism which physically prevents operator contact with sheeting rollers in operation, comprising dough piece receiving bin with top inlet aperture spaced well above rollers and defining passage thereto, first guard with lower portion blocking passage and movable by dough piece to move an upper portion to close inlet aperture, manually operable pusher for forcibly presenting to rollers dough piece stuck in passage, tray for receiving sheeted dough and enabling manual movement thereof through ninety degrees and sliding into second stage of sheeter, with second guard closely spaced above tray to prevent hand contact with second stage rollers, surface of tray being textured to substantially eliminate frictional resistance to dough sheet movement, and a circuit for controlling operation of roller driving motor manually or automatically for predetermined time in response to dough piece movement of first guard.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 1979Date of Patent: March 10, 1981Assignee: Anetsberger Brothers, Inc.Inventors: Richard J.
