  • Patent number: 6780068
Abstract: A plug-in connector has an insulating body which holds electrical contacts, for example contact pins or contact tubes, in bores which extend in the axial direction. On its outside, the insulating body has a groove which opens outwardly and which intersects the holes or bores for the contacts over part of their radial extension. A retaining ring fits into the groove and in the working position, simultaneously engages in groove-like recesses provided on the contacts, thereby fixing the contacts in an axial direction. The retaining ring can also support at least one retaining tongue protruding preferably radially inwardly in the plane of the retaining ring. The retaining tongue extends into the area of a further bore for a middle contact through a channel or opening in the insulating body and in the working position, engages in the recess thereof so that this middle contact is also axially fixed.

  • Patent number: 6722704
Abstract: A connecting fitting used for fixing longitudinal bodies to perforations or openings, especially in the wall of a housing, which include retaining projecting elements that engage with the edge of the perforation from the rear, and a stop in the form of a plastic ring which, in use, lies on a side of the opening opposite the edge of the opening that is engaged from the rear. The elastic ring is supported by a surface of the connecting fitting which expands from an area adjacent the opening from inside toward outside in an oblique manner, whereby the ring can be moved and displaced axially when the diameter is elastically enlarged, in order to account for different wall thicknesses.

  • Patent number: 6511099
Abstract: A connection fitting for the fastening of elongated bodies, for example of cables (2) or also hoses, tubes, corrugated hoses and the like, in an opening (3), which can be a through hole or a boring in a wall (4) of a building. The connection fitting includes a clamping collet (9) which, in its operation position, penetrates the opening (3) and is self expanding behind the opening (3), and which, by means of an axial retraction opposite to the direction of insertion, is also radially compressible and thus exerts a clamping force on the elongated body. To effect this motion of retraction, a sheath (11) is provided, which is frictionally connected or force-fit connected with a locking ring (15), which, by rotational movement of the sheath (11) itself turns accordingly and, by its own threading, is axially displaced until the ring (15) abuts the wall (4) on the opening rim (12) and remains there in a stop position. In this way, the respective thickness of the wall (4) is accommodated.

  • Patent number: 6467819
Abstract: A method is provided for rotationally attaching a connection fitting with an opposing surface by screwing the fitting into the opposing surface by threads on an outer surface of the fitting body. The connection fitting is formed by at least one seal manufactured together with the fitting body in an injection molding process to form a multi-component plastic part in which the fitting body is made of a hard plastic component and the seal is made of a soft plastic component, wherein the components are of a kind which do not adhere to one another. The seal is secured in an axial direction on the fitting body in a form-fit manner, but during the rotational attachment step the seal is rotatable relative to the fitting body in a peripheral direction.

  • Patent number: 6409223
Abstract: A corrugated hose (2) has a holder (1) to releasably fix the corrugated hose (2) in an angled or curved position in relation to a lengthwise projection of the inner tube, whereby the holder (1) fits snugly into at least one recess or corrugation valley (4) of the corrugated hose (2). The holder has two legs (5, 6), and the legs (5, 6) can snugly fit the corrugated hose (2) which curves between the two legs (5, 6) in a position ready for use. At least one of the snug fits is made with a cut-out (8) open at the side in which the corrugated tube (2) can be inserted from the side under elastic deformation (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 6406068
Abstract: A connection fitting (1) for fastening long bodies (2), such as cables, hoses, or pipes to an opening (3), for example in a wall (4) of a housing, has at least one fastening projection (5) which is divided by slits (6) opening in the radial and axial direction into abutment tongues (7). These tongues (7) have mounting projections (8) on their free ends projecting radially from the axis of the connection fitting (1). • Patent number: 6394690
Abstract: A connection fitting (1) for the attachment of oblong structures, for example of cables (2), hoses, tubes, corrugated hoses or the like, to an opening (3), in particular, for passing through such an opening (3) while at the same time being attached is provided. The opening (3) involves a hole, a drill hole, or other opening in a wall (4), for example of a housing. The connection fitting (1) is constructed as a plug-in fitting, i.e. is readily affixed to the opening (3) by axial insertion into it. For this it has an attachment projection (5) which is subdivided by axial slits into retaining tongues, which have radially projecting retaining projections (8) on the outside that extend behind the edge (3a) of the opening (3) when the attachment projection (5) is inserted into the opening (3), such that they yield somewhat radially to the inside during insertion and after being stuck through, automatically move again radially outwardly.

  • Patent number: 6283510
Abstract: An angle-shaped line entrance (1) has two branches (3) and (4) set at angles to each other and functions for the attachment to a wall (2) or a housing in the area of a corresponding hole-shaped opening. In this way, oblong structures, for example, hoses (5) or cables or the like, can be guided and affixed on or through the wall (2), such that the corresponding oblong structures enter into the first branch (4), while the second branch (3) itself is connected to the housing or its wall (2). In the angular area, the two branches (3) and (4) can be swung relative to each other, so that they can also take on an aligned position. Locking in the angular usage position is done by coupling via a movement for the attachment of the oblong structure at least in the first branch (4), in such a way that both movements can be performed with the same activation component.

  • Patent number: 6082782
Abstract: A connection fitting (1) is provided for fastening long bodies, such as hoses, particularly corrugated hoses (2), but also pipes or cables, to an opening (3), for example in a wall (4) of a housing. The fitting (1) has a fastening projection (5), protruding axially in the plug-in direction (Pf1), which is divided into retaining tongues (7) by slots (6). Retaining projections (8) are arranged protruding approximately radially outwardly from these retaining tongues. When the fastening projection (5) is inserted into the opening (3) or similar passageway, the retaining tongues (7) are deformed radially inwardly by an edge (10) of the opening (3) against a restoring force, and arrive at their fastening position beyond the opposing edge (9) of the opening (3), whereby the retaining projections (8) grasp behind this edge (9).

  • Patent number: 5432301
Abstract: An electrical cable has ground wires for grounding or shielding the interior of the cable. Segments of the wires project from the cable and are uninsulated. A clamp for fixing the cable and connecting the ground wires to ground includes a plastic insulating sleeve which is slipped over the cable. The sleeve has an axial extension at one end and clamping fingers at the other end. The extension is provided with a resilient, generally annular circumferential projection and the sleeve is placed on the cable with the extension adjacent the uninsulated wire segments. The latter are bent onto the extension so as to overlie the projection. The extension and its overlying wire segments are inserted in an externally threaded, electrically conductive clamping collar. The internal diameter of that part of the clamping collar which surrounds the projection and its overlying wire segments is smaller than the outer diameter of the projection and its overlying wire segments.

  • Patent number: 5378027
Abstract: A fitting for engagement with the outer surface of a cable has a sleeve with an external thread adjacent one of its ends and a nut having a complementary internal thread at one of its ends. The one end of the sleeve is of one piece with or supports a tubular clamping device with an annulus of axially parallel flexible prongs alternating with elongated slots. The nut has a ring-shaped internal deforming surface which flexes the prongs radially inwardly toward the axis of the clamping device, and toward the outer surface of a cable extending through the sleeve and the nut, when the sleeve is threaded into the nut. The prongs have relatively thick portions which are remote from the sleeve and relatively thin, and hence more readily flexible, portions between the thick portions and the sleeve. The thick portions of the prongs can bear directly against the outer surface of a cable or against a deformable tubular seal which is placed between the prongs and the cable.
