Abstract: A manually operated toy pneumatic launcher for launching a ball projectile. The pneumatic launcher has a housing with a first section and a second section that move relative to each other. At least one handle extends from the second section that rotates through a range of motion. A base tube is affixed to the second section. A launch tube is affixed to the first section. The launch tube extends into the base tube creating a telescoping tube assembly. A mechanism is provided that is powered by the handle moving through its range of motion. The mechanism includes a gear box, a lever arm, and a slide that act together to linearly move the first section of the housing relative to the second section. This selectively changes the length of the telescoping tube assembly, therein enabling the telescoping assembly to compress and release air in the launching of the projectile.
Abstract: A collapsible sports goal having frame elements and connector joint assemblies that interconnect the frame elements. Each of the connector joint assemblies receives and interconnects two separate frame elements. The connector joint assemblies have a first leg and a second leg that are joined by a hinge that enables movement between a parallel configuration and a perpendicular configuration. Each first leg has a spring-loaded locking finger extending therefrom and each second leg has a finger engagement hole therein. The locking finger on the first leg engages the finger engagement hole on the second leg when the first leg and the second leg are in their perpendicular configuration.
Abstract: A projectile launcher that toy ball projectiles. The projectile launcher has a launch tube and a slide tube that interconnect in a telescoping manner. A handle is affixed to the free end of the slide tube. The handle is free to rotate relative the launch tube. In this manner, the handle can be rotated while the slide tube telescopes with the launch tube. A bow structure is affixed to the launch tube. The bow structure has opposing arms that extend away from the launch tube in the manner of an archery bow. An elastic bow string extends between the free ends of the bow structure arms and the handle. During use, a toy ball projectile is positioned in the launch tube. The slide tube is retracted relative the launch tube. The movement of the slide tube stretches the elastic bow string and biases the slide tube forward.
Abstract: A throwing system for throwing and catching a ball of a first diameter. A scoop is provided that has a basket and a handle. The basket has a first end, a second end, a bottom surface and an open top, wherein the handle extends from the second end of the basket. A loading hole is disposed through the bottom surface of the basket. A flap or other obstruction is provided that at least partially obstructs the loading hole. The obstruction prevents the ball from passing through the loading hole in one direction. The ball is loaded into the scoop by simply pressing the scoop over the ball so that the ball passes through the loading hole and into the basket. Once in the basket, the ball can be thrown from the scoop in a traditional manner.
