  • Patent number: 5764724
Abstract: A method of X-ray photography or a method of some other type of radiation sensoring, such as electronic image storage, employs the use of a receptor unit (2) which can be swung outwards and upwards from an initial position in or beneath a patient support table (1) about alternative pivot centers (11, 12) disposed in the region of respective side edges of the table to alternative positions for operating with a horizontal beam path. The receptor unit can be swung out about a vertical axis from these positions in which it is parallel with the longitudinal direction of the table to a position in which it is parallel with the longitudinal direction of the table to a position in which the unit is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the table, to enable pictures to be taken of a patient seated in a wheelchair, for instance. The invention also relates to a patient support table (1) provided with a receptor unit (2) of this kind.

  • Patent number: 5157707
Abstract: In connection with X-ray or like examination there is used a cassette holder arrangement which is carried by a frame structure (7) by means of pivotal arms (4) which are capable of being swung in the horizontal plane, such as to adjust the position of the cassette in the vertical direction. The arrangement enables pictures to be taken of a sitting patient in mutually perpendicular directions, with the aid of a radiation source (2). The cassette holder (3) can be swung between the exposure positions in a circuit path around the sitting patient, by activation of one of the arms (4). To this end there can be used a parallel linkage (11) which is operative to guide the cassette holder during this pivotal movement. the cassette holder is fixated relative to one of the arms (4), by means of a locking device (8), which is released when wishing to pivot the cassette holder. The invention also relates to a cassette holder arrangement of the aforedescribed kind.

  • Patent number: 4759048
Abstract: A counter-weight balanced X-ray frame (1) has a vertical column (2) on which a pendulum arm (3) carrying X-ray equipment (4, 5) is mounted for vertical movement therealong and rotational movement therearound. A brake disc (10) for arresting rotational movement and actuated by a magnetic brake (11) is incorporated in a centering mechanism adapted to seek one or more pre-determined positions for the pendulum arm, e.g. when it forms an angle with the frame of 0.degree., 90.degree., 180.degree. or 270.degree., without the operator needing to interfere in the sequence of movements. When the relevant setting position is approached, the operator need only carry out the operating movement which activates corresponding brake means--for example releases a corresponding operating handle on the pendulum arm--whereupon the pendulum arm itself adopts the pre-determined setting position.

  • Patent number: 4699425
Abstract: A chair assembly intended for use when taking X-ray pictures includes a chair and wheels for rotating and moving the chair relative to a carriage structure in the directions of the X- and Y-coordinates. Movement in the direction of these coordinates is effected by two guide frames provided with guides. A separate support frame provided with castors is arranged on the seat parts of the chair to prevent the chair from toppling or tipping. The castors of the support frame are normally located at a small distance from the underlying support surface, so as not to impede rotational and coordinate movements of respective chair members. Chair movements are controlled by a stirrup-like control bar having provided in the central portion thereof other control parts for activating the release of locking parts which lock the chair components against rotary movement and movement in the direction of the coordinates.

  • Patent number: 4679223
Abstract: A movably mounted pillar-stand for carrying X-ray equipment, the pillar-stand preferably celling-suspended and having a pendulum arrangement or the like for the purpose of damping natural oscillatory movements. When natural oscillatory movements occur in the pillar-stand when making positional adjustment thereto, the natural oscillatory movement of the stand is effectively extinguished within the space of some few seconds by a damped, counter-directional pendulating movement imparted to the pendulating arrangement by means of the natural oscillatory motion of the stand.

  • Patent number: 4527347
Abstract: A fixing means for detachably mounting X-ray films (1) or the like to an illuminated surface (2) of an X-ray examining cabinet (3) comprises a resilient member (4) made of rubber, plastics or the like and having an anchoring portion (4a), an engaging portion (4b) and an intermediate, thinner hinge means (4c). The resilient member (4) is accommodated in a profiled frame element having a lower support part (5b) which supports the engaging portion (4b) so that it forms a right angle or an acute angle with the anchoring portion (4a).
