    Abstract: An oil-based release agent of the present invention contains a petroleum-based hydrocarbon solvent (a) and a high temperature adhesive (b), is applied to a metal die used for die casting or casting, has high adhesion and high lubricity even with respect to a metal die at a high temperature particularly of 300° C. or higher, and can prevent seizure. In addition, the present invention provides a method for applying the oil-based release agent of the present invention by controlling an adhesion amount thereof by micronization and speed-control thereof with respect to a metal die at a high temperature, and an electrostatic application method.

The flash point of the agent is in the range of 70 to 170° C., and the dynamic viscosity of the agent is 2 to 30 mm2/s or higher at 40° C.

The powder-containing oil-based lubricant may be applied to a die by electrostatic spraying.     Abstract: The invention relates to an oil type lubricant, which is applied to a die to be used in high-pressure die casting, gravity die casting, low-pressure die casting and forging and can prevent soldering, particularly at high temperature parts and under a heavy load, to a spray method of applying the oil type lubricant and a spray apparatus for applying the oil type lubricant.
