Patents Assigned to Aperia Technologies, Inc.
  • Publication number: 20140314602
Abstract: A peristaltic pump system including an arcuate pressing surface, a force element that applies an occluding force towards the pressing surface, a drive mechanism that drives the force element, a diaphragm disposed between the pressing surface and the force element that defines a pump cavity, an actuator strip disposed between the diaphragm and the force element that receives the occluding force, deflects to deform the diaphragm, and occludes the pump cavity, a support structure that retains the actuator and diaphragm positions relative to the pressing surface, and a restitution mechanism that recovers the open pump cavity configuration.

  • Publication number: 20140260969
Abstract: A pumping system configured to pump fluid from the ambient environment to a target reservoir, the pumping system including: a fluid pump configured to statically mount to a rotating surface, the pump configured to rotate about an axis of rotation; a pump reservoir statically coupled to the fluid pump and configured to fluidly couple to the target reservoir, the pump reservoir including a collection area defined along a portion of the pump reservoir radially outward of the axis of rotation; and a liquid separation member arranged along a portion of the collection area, the liquid separation member including a membrane configured to preferentially permit liquid flow therethrough.

  • Patent number: 8763661
Abstract: A tire inflation system that couples to the wheel of a vehicle, the tire inflation system including a pumping ring that rotates with the wheel; a positioning system rotatably coupled to the wheel, the positioning system including a positioning mechanism and an eccentric mass; a planetary roller disposed in non-slip contact with the pumping ring and the positioning system; and a flexible diaphragm that defines a pump cavity, wherein relative motion between the pumping ring and positioning system is translated by the planetary roller into an occluding force that deforms the diaphragm to occlude the pump cavity. Relative motion between the pumping ring and the positioning system is achieved by coupling the eccentric mass to the positioning mechanism to offset the center of mass of the positioning system from the center of rotation of the positioning system.
