Abstract: There is provided a method, device and system for performing an assessment of a subject, in particular a human subject, based on the detection of physical responses to stimuli. The method includes: providing a reference signature of the subject; obtaining a measurement signature corresponding to at least one physical response to a stimulus; comparing the measurement signature to the reference signature; and generating an output signal in response to the comparison; wherein the reference signature and the measurement signature conform to a predetermined format.
