  • Patent number: 12018832
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein include adaptive light source modules that can provide adaptive illumination to a scene. The adaptive light source modules may comprise a housing, an emitter array, and a lens. The emitter array comprises a plurality of emitters. The lens may redirect light emitted from the emitter array through a transparent window of the housing. The housing may further include a prismatic surface that distorts light emitted from the emitter array and/or one or more non-transparent portions that limits light travelling therethrough. The adaptive light source module may optionally comprise a light sensor, and a portion of the lens may be configured to direct light toward the light sensor.

  • Patent number: 12019835
Abstract: Visibility of the metal mesh touch electrodes can be mitigated using one or more mitigation techniques. In some examples, the boundary between touch electrodes and/or the boundary between a touch electrode and a routing trace of another touch electrode and/or the boundary between two routing traces can be non-linear. In some examples, dummy cuts can be made within an area of a touch electrode region (e.g., while maintaining the same electrical potential for the touch electrode region). In some examples, notches can be made in the metal mesh. In some examples, the location of cuts and/or notches can be optimized to mitigate visibility of the metal mesh. In some examples, some or all of the visibility mitigations may be used in combination in a touch screen.

  • Patent number: 12019027
Abstract: A test system may be used to measure biological samples and other samples. Samples may be placed on a test substrate such as a test slide or other transparent substrate. The substrate may have patches of reactant-coated gold nanorods or other nanostructures that exhibit plasmonic resonances. An accessory may be removably coupled to a portable electronic device such as a cellular telephone. The accessory may have a lens and a light source that emits light into an edge of the test slide. The light may scatter from the nanostructures in a perpendicular direction towards a camera in the portable electronic device so that the portable electronic device can gather images of the illuminated substrate and measure spectral shifts associated with reactions between the samples and the reactant, thereby helping to analyze the composition of the samples.

  • Patent number: 12021966
Abstract: A mobile network operator (MNO) uses a provisioning server to update or install profile content in a profile or electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM). In an exemplary embodiment, the profile is present on a secure element such as an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) in a wireless device. One or more MNOs use the provisioning server to perform profile content management on profiles in the eUICC. In some embodiments, an MNO has a trust relationship with the provisioning server. In some other embodiments, the MNO does not have a trust relationship with the provisioning server and protects payload targeted for an MNO-associated profile using an over the air (OTA) key.

  • Patent number: 12019470
Abstract: An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a device magnet designed to magnetically couple with an accessory device magnet. The electronic device further includes a display assembly and a magnetic field sensor configured to detect the accessory device magnet, thereby providing an indication that the accessory device is covering the display assembly. The electronic device further includes a shunt assembly designed to reduce the magnitude of the magnetic field of the device magnet, as determined by the magnetic field sensor, while allowing the magnetic field from the accessory device to sufficiently reach the magnetic field sensor. As such, the magnetic field sensor can be placed near the device magnet without triggering the magnetic field sensor. The electronic device may further include a microphone. Communication between the microphone and an integrated circuit can cease based on the magnetic field sensor detecting the accessory device magnet.

  • Patent number: 12020168
Abstract: The subject technology runs a compiled neural network (NN) model on a particular processor with multiple priority queues for executing different processes, the compiled NN model being assigned to a particular priority queue, and the compiled NN model includes context switch instructions that were previously inserted into a neural network (NN) model from which the compiled NN model was compiled. The subject technology determines that a particular context switch instruction has been executed by the particular processor. The subject technology determines that a different process is waiting to be executed, the different process being assigned to a different priority queue and the different process being a higher priority process than the running compiled NN model. In response to executing the particular context switch instruction, the subject technology performs a context switch to the different process assigned to the different priority queue when the different process is waiting to be executed.

  • Patent number: 12021290
Abstract: An electronic device may include one or more radios and one or more antennas. Radio-frequency transmission lines may couple a radio to a corresponding antenna. To more efficiently form a radio-frequency transmission line, the radio-frequency transmission line may be formed from interconnected conductive traces distributed between a plurality of printed circuits. By integrating transmission line structures onto printed circuits that also serve other functions, the device can require less space to implement a radio-frequency transmission line. While one or more of these printed circuits may individually be unsuitable to implement a radio-frequency transmission line with a particular impedance, the composite impedance of these transmission line structures across the printed circuits, when properly configured, may provide a radio-frequency transmission line with the particular impedance.

  • Patent number: 12020075
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to dispatching compute work from a compute stream. In some embodiments, a graphics processor executes instructions of compute kernels. Workload parser circuitry may determine, for distribution to the graphics processor circuitry, a set of workgroups from a compute kernel that includes workgroups organized in multiple dimensions, including a first number of workgroups in a first dimension and a second number of workgroups in a second dimension. This may include determining multiple sub-kernels for the compute kernel, wherein a first sub-kernel includes, in the first dimension, a limited number of workgroups that is smaller than the first number of workgroups. The parser circuitry may iterate through workgroups in both the first and second dimensions to generate the set of workgroups, proceeding through the first sub-kernel before iterating through any of the other sub-kernels. Disclosed techniques may provide desirable shapes for batches of workgroups.
