  • Patent number: 11949462
Abstract: A communication system may an optical signal generator and a signal path. The generator may generate one or more optical local oscillator (LO) signals and an optical frequency comb. Optical paths and an optical demultiplexer may distribute the optical LO signal(s) and the frequency comb to photodiodes in one or more access points. The photodiodes may be coupled to antenna radiating elements. The optical paths may illuminate each photodiode using a signal pair that includes one of the optical LO signals and one of the carriers from the frequency comb. The photodiodes may convey wireless signals using the antenna radiating elements at frequencies given by the differences in frequency between the signals in the signal pairs. The radiating elements may concurrently convey the wireless signals with different external devices at different frequencies, with different devices at the same frequency, and/or with the same device at the same frequency.

  • Patent number: 11949529
Abstract: The subject technology receives, at a local device, a requested camera format based on specifications of a display associated with a remote device. The remote device and the local device are devices participating in a video conference. The requested camera format includes a first resolution. Camera formats supported by a camera associated with the local device are determined. If a second resolution of a first camera format matches among the supported camera formats matches with the first resolution, the first camera format is selected for capturing the video stream by the camera. Otherwise, a second camera format among the supported camera formats is determined for capturing the video stream so as to maximize a field of view of the video stream relative to other camera formats supported by the camera.

  • Patent number: 11948339
Abstract: According to an example method, a system receives first data representing a polygon mesh. The polygon mesh includes a plurality of interconnected vertices forming a plurality of triangles. The system generates second data representing the polygon mesh. Generating the second data includes traversing the vertices of the polygon mesh according to a traversal order, partitioning the plurality of triangles into a set of ordered triangle groups in accordance with the traversal order, and encoding, in the second data, the set of ordered triangle groups. The system outputs the second data. A position each of the vertices in the transversal order is determined based on (i) a number of previously encoded triangles that are incident to that vertex, and/or (ii) a sum of one or more angles formed by the previously encoded triangles that are incident to that vertex.

  • Patent number: 11947462
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to cache footprint management. In some embodiments, execution circuitry is configured to perform operations for instructions from multiple threads in parallel. Cache circuitry may store information operated on by threads executed by the execution circuitry. Scheduling circuitry may arbitrate among threads to schedule threads for execution by the execution circuitry. Tracking circuitry may determine one or more performance metrics for the cache circuitry. Control circuitry may, based on the one or more performance metrics meeting a threshold, reduce a limit on a number of threads considered for arbitration by the scheduling circuitry, to control a footprint of information stored by the cache circuitry. Disclosed techniques may advantageously reduce or avoid cache thrashing for certain processor workloads.

  • Patent number: 11947751
Abstract: An electronic device that is in communication with a display generation component, and sensor(s) to detect location of an input object displays a content selection object within selectable content, wherein the content selection object includes a first edge and a second edge. The device detects an input by the input object, including detecting the input object at a first hover location that corresponds to the first edge of the content selection object. In response to detecting the first portion of the input: in accordance with a determination that the first portion of the input meets first criteria that require the input object meets proximity criteria with respect to the content selection object, the device changes an appearance of the first edge relative to the second edge of the content selection object to indicate that the first edge will be selected for movement when the input object meets second criteria.

  • Patent number: 11947724
Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and one or more tactile output generators displays, on the display, a respective user interface element within a user interface region. The device detects a gesture on the touch-sensitive surface for moving the respective user interface element by a respective amount. In response, in accordance with a determination that moving the respective user interface element by the respective amount would cause the respective user interface element to move beyond a predefined limit, the device generates a respective tactile output via the tactile output generators and moves the respective user interface element by the respective amount and beyond the predefined limit. In response to detecting liftoff of a contact used to perform the gesture, the device at least partially reverses the movement of the respective user interface element, such that the respective user interface element is moved to the predefined limit.

  • Patent number: 11948245
Abstract: Novel machine learning (ML) models are introduced for image reconstruction training and inference workflows, which are able to estimate intrinsic components of single view images, including albedo, normal, and lighting components. According to some embodiments, such models may be trained on a mix of real and synthetic image datasets. For training on real datasets, both reconstruction and cross-relighting consistency terms may be imposed. The use of a cross-relighting consistency term allows for the use of multiple images of the same scene—although lit under different lighting conditions—to be used during training. At inference time, the model is able to operate on single or multiple images. According to other embodiments, adversarial training (e.g., in the form of a generative adversarial network (GAN)) may optionally be incorporated into the training workflow, e.g., in order to better refine the re-rendered images from the individual lighting and geometric components estimated by the model.

  • Publication number: 20240103840
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a system and method for secure delivery of assets to a trusted device. Multiple levels of verification are implemented to enable components of a software update and asset delivery system to verify other components within the system. Furthermore, updates are provided only to client devices that are authorized to receive such updates. In one embodiment, the specific assets provided to a client device during a software update can be tailored to the client device, such that individual client devices can receive updated versions of software asset at a faster or slower rate than mass market devices. For example, developer or beta tester devices can receive pre-release assets, while enterprise devices can receive updates at a slower rate relative to mass market devices.
