Patents Assigned to Apple, Inc.
  • Patent number: 11962245
Abstract: A voltage regulator circuit included in a computer system may include multiple phase circuits coupled to a regulated power supply line via corresponding one of multiple inductors. The phase circuits may modify a voltage level of the regulated power supply line using respective control signals generated by a digital control circuit that processes multiple data bits. An analog-to-digital converter circuit may compare the voltage level of the regulated power supply node to multiple reference voltage levels and sample the resultant comparisons to generate the multiple data bits.

  • Patent number: 11963040
Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for supporting integrated access and backhaul (IAB) networks. IAB nodes may be configured to broadcast in-raster and off-raster synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) for establishing communications with mobile devices and/or user equipment (UE). The SSBs may provide control resource set (CORESET) data used for establishing a communication channel between a UE and an IAB node. The CORESET data may be configured to support the broadcast of off-raster SSBs in wireless communication systems. In some embodiments, the in-raster SSB and the off-raster SSB may share the same CORESET. In this case, the IAB may modify a bit pattern of configuration table corresponding to the shared CORESET and broadcast the in-raster SSB and the off-raster SSB while including the modified bit pattern.

  • Patent number: 11963058
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing dual active protocol stack handovers in a frequency range above 24 GHz. A UE may transmit an indication to a base station indicating a dual active protocol stack (DAPS) handover capability of the UE corresponding to a frequency range (FR) above 24 GHz. The UE may receive, from a target cell of the one or more cells, a command to perform a DAPS handover from a source cell to the target cell. While performing the DAPS handover and maintaining a data connection with the source cell, the UE may perform measurements on the target cell followed by a physical random access channel (PRACH) procedure. The UE may then receive a source cell release command from the target cell and release the data connection with the source cell.

  • Patent number: 11962877
Abstract: Some embodiments provide an apparatus for controlling the motion of a camera component. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes an actuator module. The actuator module includes a plurality of magnets. Each magnet of the plurality of magnets is poled with magnetic domains substantially aligned in the same direction throughout each magnet. The apparatus further includes a coil rigidly disposed around a lens. Each magnet of the plurality of magnets contributes to the forces to adjust focus of the lens based on Lorentz forces generated from the coil.

  • Patent number: 11963425
Abstract: An electronic device may have a display overlapped by a cover layer. Portions of the surface of the display and cover layer may have curved profiles. The display may include a flexible substrate and may have bent edge portions protruding from a central region. Gaps may be formed between regions of pixels on a common substrate or between separate display panels. Gap-overlapping structures may overlap the gaps to hide internal components from view or to blend the appearance of gaps with the appearance of adjoining portions of a display layer. The gap-overlapping structures may include light sources such as crystalline semiconductor light-emitting diodes. The diodes may emit light through light diffusing structures. Protruding display layer fingers and other structures may be used to accommodate display cover layer surfaces with curved profiles such as corner surfaces of compound curvature.

  • Patent number: 11963220
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for selecting channel access mechanisms in wireless communications, and particularly in 3GPP NR-U. For example, an appropriate listen-before talk (LBT) channel access category (Cat) may be defined for certain messages, such as certain DL and/or UL control messages and certain RACH messages. For other messages, an appropriate Cat may be signaled by the base station, e.g., in a DCI message or SIB. Mechanisms are provided for the base station to signal to the UE certain channel access profile parameters, such as an appropriate LBT Cat, CAPC, and/or CP extension. Mechanisms are also provided for adjustment of contention window duration.

  • Patent number: 11963324
Abstract: Electronic equipment may include structured fabric. Structured fabric may be used as a protective case or cosmetic cover for an electronic device, may be used to form a band that holds an electronic device against a user's body, or may be used to cover one or more openings in an electronic device. Structured fabrics may be soft and pliable while maintaining the ability to hold a given shape without added support. Structured fabric may be formed by laminating fabric such as warp-knit fabric with a stiffener such as polymer film. Structured fabrics may include openings through which signals such as optical or audio signals pass. To maintain the geometry and shape of the openings in the structured fabric without covering the openings, the stiffener and adhesive that are attached to the fabric may be cut to form a pattern of openings that align with the openings in the fabric.

  • Publication number: 20240120044
Abstract: A schema is generated to establish a connection between user devices and one or more patient record servers. Generating a schema can include receiving configuration information associated with a patient record gateway, wherein the patient record gateway is associated with one or more patient record servers configured for storing electronic health records for a plurality of patients. Generating a schema can include defining, based at least in part on the configuration information, a schema configured to enable user devices to retrieve, via the patient record gateway, electronic health records from the one or more patient record servers. A schema can be requested by a user device. The schema can be sent to a user device to establish a connection with the one or more patient record servers.

  • Patent number: 11956231
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods that provide authority transfer of a virtual object in a shared CGR environment. In some implementations, at a first electronic device associated with a first owner having authority to transmit state updates of a virtual object, a state update is transmitted to one or more peers participating in the shared CGR environment associated with the current state of the virtual object by the first electronic device. In some implementations, a handoff message is transmitted to indicate that ownership of the virtual object is being handed off. Then, an acquisition message transmitted by a second electronic device associated with a second owner indicates ownership acquisition of the virtual object by the second owner. The first electronic device accepts state updates of the virtual object transmitted from the second owner based on receiving the acquisition message.
