  • Patent number: 11972538
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a multi-mode demosaicing circuit able to receive and demosaic image data in a different raw image formats, such as Bayer raw image format and Quad Bayer raw image format. The multi-mode demosaicing circuit demosaics Quad Bayer image data by interpolating a green channel of the image data along each of a plurality of directions, generating a gradient of the image data along each of the plurality of directions, modifying the interpolated green channels based on respective gradients to generate full-resolution green channel image data, which is combined with red and blue image data to generate the demosaiced image data. Interpolation is performed for non-green pixels based on neighboring green pixels along a specified direction, modified by a residual value based upon values of one or more nearby same-color pixels and a correlation between values of the same-color pixels and neighboring green pixels.

  • Patent number: 11972070
Abstract: Mitigation techniques can be used to reduce noise generated by wireless communication circuitry (e.g., near-field communication circuitry) in an electronic device including a display, touch, and wireless communication circuitry. In some examples, a touch screen can have a backplane including a mesh of routing traces connected to an array of chiplets. In some examples, the chiplets can repeat signals to prevent the accumulation of noise induced by an NFC coil. In some examples, the ratio between vertical and horizontal resistances of routing traces can be configured to mitigate noise induced by the coil. In some examples, the routing traces of the mesh can be configured to share a common geometric centroid. In some examples, a plurality of routing traces can be routed in a twisted pair configuration. In some examples, the routing traces and chiplets can be routed to minimize traversal through regions of relatively high electromagnetic field.

  • Patent number: 11972083
Abstract: Touch input devices are provided with the capability of sensing a capacitive load in a two-dimensional array while also being able to sense deflection or movement of the input device in multiple different locations under an input pad. A touch input device can beneficially be used in a remote control device and can be used with multiple input buttons or platforms overlaying multiple capacitive touch input regions on a capacitive touch sensor substrate. Movement and position of a capacitive load can be tracked and calculated via output signals from a set of electrodes or other capacitance sensors with irregular shapes, with inconsistent distances from the capacitive load, and which are positioned below variable materials and material compositions. Thus, tracking gestures and taps can be detected using the capacitance sensing devices, and deflection input can be detected using switches or other actuators situated under the capacitance sensing devices.

  • Patent number: 11973894
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to the utilization of context information by an electronic device. In one example, a context affordance associated with a contextual category is displayed. In response to detecting an input, a plurality of options associated with the contextual category are displayed, including a first option corresponding to a first status that is a current status for the contextual category and a second option corresponding to a second status that is not the current status for the contextual category. When an input is detected that corresponds to the second option of the first plurality of options, the current status for the contextual category is set to the second status.

  • Patent number: 11972823
Abstract: A controller includes an interface and circuitry. The interface communicates with memory cells arranged in multiple address locations. Storage nodes holding storage values included in the memory cells are accessible using select transistors powered by an adjustable supply voltage. The circuitry reads data units protected by an Error Correction Code (ECC) from the memory cells and decode the ECC of the data units. Upon detecting, using the ECC, that a given data unit read from a given address location contains one or more errors, the circuitry logs an error event specifying at least a time of occurrence associated with the error event and the given address location. The circuitry identifies that the select transistors experience physical degradation due to aging, based on the times of occurrence and address locations logged in the error events, and adjusts the supply voltage provided to the select transistors to compensate for the physical degradation.

  • Patent number: 11972713
Abstract: An electronic device may display image content via an electronic display by controlling light emission from display pixels of the electronic display. A processor of the electronic device may receive image data destined for a defective display pixel (e.g., dim pixel, dead pixel). The processor may convert a gray level of the image data into a luminance domain to generate a target luminance that would have been emitted by the defective display pixel had the display pixel not been defective. After selecting a compensation mask, the processor may distribute the target luminance of the defective display pixels to nearby non-defective pixels of the electronic display to conceal the presence of the defective display pixel.

  • Patent number: 11971130
Abstract: Support systems and stands for electronic devices include tilt hinges, lift arms, and their component parts. Some tilt hinges include assemblies for guiding and retaining bars or protrusions into preferred positioning within receiver openings to unify the parts, particularly as they move, and to reduce wobble or slop in the joints. Lift arms provide simplified and low-cost guidance and counterbalance mechanisms for controlling movement of the electronic device relative to the base of a stand. In some cases, the lift arms have sheaths to help protect or cover mechanisms while allowing additional space for the mechanisms within the lift arm. Other interconnection systems hide and protect a connector interface between the stand and the electronic device within a housing until unlocked and the connector is moved into an exposed position. These systems improve efficiency, comfort, ergonomics, accessibility, and user satisfaction of the electronic devices and their supports.
