Abstract: Touch sensor panel configurations for reducing wobble error for a stylus translating on a surface over and between electrodes of the touch sensor panel are disclosed. In some examples, electrodes with more linear signal profiles are correlated with lower wobble error. In some examples, diffusing elements formed of floating segments of conductive materials can diffuse signal from a stylus to a plurality of electrodes, thus, making the signal profiles associated with the electrodes more linear. In addition, diffusing elements can be configured to improve the optical uniformity of the touch sensor panel. In some examples, the diffusing elements can be formed on the same layer as floating dummy pixels and resemble a plurality of merged floating dummy pixels.

Abstract: An electronic device may include a display panel. When content of an image frame is expected to consume relatively higher amounts of power, a controller of the electronic device may operate a switch to change a power supply of the display panel to be a power management integrated circuit of the electronic device. However, when content of an image frame is expected to consume relatively less amounts of power, the controller may operate the switch to change the power supply of the display panel to be a power supply of an electronic display, such as a power supply used to power driver circuitry of the electronic display.

Abstract: A method includes sensing a plurality of light superposition characteristic values associated with ambient light from a physical environment. The ambient light emanates from the physical environment towards one side of a translucent display. The plurality of light superposition characteristic values quantifies interactions with the ambient light. The method includes determining a plurality of display correction values associated with the electronic device based on a function of the plurality of light superposition characteristic values and predetermined display characteristics of a computer-generated reality (CGR) object. The method includes changing one or more display operating parameters associated with the electronic device in accordance with the plurality of display correction values in order to satisfy the predetermined display characteristics of the CGR object within a performance threshold.

Abstract: Embodiments presented herein provide apparatus and techniques to reduce a direct current (DC) voltage offset between a transmitter and receiver. Embodiments include a shared reference voltage signal generated by a reference voltage source. The receiver may include a first unit gain buffer to receive a reference voltage signal from the reference voltage source. The transmitter may be communicatively coupled to the receiver via one or more connections and may include a second unit gain buffer communicatively coupled to the first unit gain buffer via one of the connections. An amplifier (e.g., an operation amplifier) of the transmitter may include multiple positive inputs coupled to the second unit gain buffer and an offset tracker. The offset tracker may compensate for a DC offset caused by at least a power supply and/or a ground bounce.

Abstract: A variable latency cache memory is disclosed. A cache subsystem includes a pipeline control circuit configured to initiate cache memory accesses for data. The cache subsystem further includes a cache memory circuit having a data array arranged into a plurality of groups, wherein different ones of the plurality of groups have different minimum access latencies due to different distances from the pipeline control circuit. A plurality of latency control circuits configured to ensure a latency is bounded to a maximum value for a given access to the data array, wherein a given latency control circuit is associated with a corresponding group of the plurality of groups. The latency for a given access may thus vary between a minimum access latency for a group closest to the pipeline control circuit to a maximum latency for an access to the group furthest from the pipeline control circuit.

Abstract: Electrical shield line systems are provided for openings in common electrodes near data lines of display and touch screens. Some displays, including touch screens, can include multiple common electrodes (Vcom) that can have openings between individual Vcoms. Some display screens can have an open slit between two adjacent edges of Vcom. Openings in Vcom can allow an electric field to extend from a data line through the Vcom layer. A shield can be disposed over the Vcom opening to help reduce or eliminate an electric field from affecting a pixel material, such as liquid crystal. The shield can be connected to a potential such that electric field is generated substantially between the shield and the data line to reduce or eliminate electric fields reaching the liquid crystal.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for delivery/read receipts for electronic messaging are disclosed. During one-on-one electronic messaging sessions in a conversation view format, only a single read receipt is shown only for the most recent message transmitted in the conversation. In some implementations, a delivery receipt is shown which then can be replaced or morphed into a read receipt. In a group conversation, a read receipt can be displayed for the recipient who most recently caught up in the ongoing conversation.

Abstract: Computing systems and input devices can include a chassis with a computing device and an input tool with a sensor, such as a pen- or rod-like input tool, that can be positioned relative to the chassis in multiple configurations. In one configuration, the tool can be spaced away from the chassis and its sensor output can cause a first output signal in response to input provided to the sensor. In another configuration, the tool can be contacting the chassis and its sensor output can cause a second output signal in response to input provided to the sensor. For example, an input tool can be stowed in a recess of a keyboard housing or device chassis, and the input tool can produce a first output when it is in the recess and a second input when it has been removed from the chassis.

Abstract: An encoder is configured to compress point cloud information using a blocks of nodes determined from a prediction tree. A prediction tree is generated for a point cloud. Segments of the prediction tree are identified. The segments are divided into blocks that are predicted by predecessor blocks within the segments. The blocks of the prediction tree may then be encoded and may be provided for transmission to a decoder that can regenerate the point cloud from the blocks of the prediction tree.

Abstract: A computer system displays a first user interface for configuring a wake user interface. The first user interface displays a first representation of a first version of the wake user interface illustrating a first plurality of editable user interface objects overlaying a first background. While displaying the first user interface, the system detects a first input. In response, when the first input meets first criteria, the system displays a second user interface for editing a first user interface object of the first plurality of editable user interface objects. The first user interface object is selected based on a location of the first input. When the first input meets second criteria, the system updates the first user interface to display a second representation of a second version of the wake user interface having a second plurality of editable user interface objects overlaying a second background.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) passively determines the presence of a cellular network bottleneck in a downlink channel and may take appropriate actions to mitigate the bottleneck. The UE may analyze the transport block size (TBS) of slots of received downlink traffic and assign states the to various slots based on this analysis. Based on these assigned states, the UE may identify a burst of network traffic from network traffic received from the cellular network, and the UE may also determine the burst duration as well as a busy estimation. The UE may determine that the cellular network is experiencing a bottleneck based at least in part on the burst duration and the busy estimation.

A second paging message to page the UE may be transmitted from the gNB-DU to the UE. The second paging message may include: the paging identity of the UE; and an access type parameter that indicates whether the paging of the UE is originated due to the PDU session from the non-3GPP access.

Abstract: A power converter can include a DC-DC converter stage having an input coupled to an input of the power converter and an output coupled to an output of the converter and an active power buffer coupled to the output of the power converter. The active power buffer can further include an energy storage capacitor and one or more switching devices selectively coupling the energy storage capacitor to the output of the power converter so as to alternately store energy in and discharge energy from the energy storage capacitor. Control circuitry of the power converter can include a first control loop that operates the DC-DC converter stage to regulate an average voltage across the energy storage capacitor of the active power buffer and a second control loop that operates the one or more switching devices of the active power buffer to regulate an output voltage of the power converter.
