  • Publication number: 20230314828
Abstract: Fiducial patterns that produce 2D Barker code-like diffraction patterns at a camera sensor are etched or otherwise provided on a cover glass in front of a camera. 2D Barker code kernels, when cross-correlated with the diffraction patterns captured in images by the camera, provide sharp cross-correlation peaks. Misalignment of the cover glass with respect to the camera can be derived by detecting shifts in the location of the detected peaks with respect to calibrated locations. Devices that include multiple cameras behind a cover glass with one or more fiducials on the cover glass in front of each camera are also described. The diffraction patterns caused by the fiducials at the various cameras may be analyzed to detect movement or distortion of the cover glass in multiple degrees of freedom.

  • Publication number: 20230319681
Abstract: The present application relates to improving a roaming service. In an example, a home network of a user equipment (UE) defines a first set of UE route selection policy (URSP) rules for managing traffic of the UE when connected to the home network. While roaming, the UE is connected to a visited network. Based on the first set of URSP rules and guidance information of the visited network indicating one or more URSP rules that the visited network can support for the UE, the home network defines a second set of URSP rules for managing traffic of the UE while roaming. The home network sends, via the visited network, the second set of URSP rules to the UE as rule information for use by the UE while connected to the visited network.

  • Publication number: 20230319509
Abstract: Techniques may include ranging between a mobile device and a ranging device to obtain ranging measurements. In addition, the techniques may include performing inertial measurements, where the inertial measurements include directional measurements of movement of the mobile device. One or more of the ranging measurements or inertial measurements may be used to identify dwell points where the mobile device is stationary. Moreover, the techniques may include determining vectors of movement between the dwell points using inertial measurements. Also, the techniques may include determining a first and second distance from the ranging device by performing a first and second ranging measurement with the ranging device. Further, the techniques may include determining a direction of movement using inertial measurements. The techniques may include determining the mobile device is at the second dwell point by matching the first direction of movement to a vector of movement between the dwell points.

  • Publication number: 20230315201
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for stray light mitigation in optical systems that include two or more illumination sources (e.g., point light sources such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs)) that illuminate an object to be imaged, and a camera configured to capture images of light from the point light sources reflected by the object when illuminated. To mitigate “occlusions” or artifacts caused by, for example, stray light or reflections of the illumination sources off of other components of the system, multiple images of the object are captured with different groups of the illumination sources enabled. The captured images can then be processed and merged to generate an output image with the occlusions or artifacts caused by stray light or reflections mitigated or eliminated.

  • Patent number: 11775252
Abstract: This is directed to controlling the output of audio based on the mode of an electronic device. In particular, this is directed to an electronic device having a sound mode, silent mode, and mute mode controlling the output of audio along different audio output routes. In the sound mode, all audio can be output, while only registered or authorized audio can be output in the silent mode. In the mute mode, no audio can be output. The sound and silent modes can be enabled using an interface of the device (e.g., a switch having two possible states), while the mute mode can be enabled using an accessory coupled to the device. To disengage the mute mode, a user can provide a corresponding instruction using the accessory, or providing an instruction on the device related to volume control. For example, a user can change the device volume using an on-device interface, or toggle a sound/silent switch to a sound mode.

  • Patent number: 11771406
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to systems and techniques for tracking menstrual cycles, which can include receiving temperature measurements from an array of temperature sensors positioned on a bed. A use period for the array can be determined when temperature measurements from at least one temperature sensor of the one or more temperature sensors exceed a first temperature threshold. • Patent number: 11775811
Abstract: The subject technology determines input parameters and an output format of algorithms for a particular functionality provided by an electronic device. The subject technology determines an order of the algorithms for performing the particular functionality based on temporal dependencies of the algorithms, and the input parameters and the output format of the algorithms. The subject technology generates a graph based on the order of the algorithms, the graph comprising a set of nodes corresponding to the algorithms, each node indicating a particular processor of the electronic device for executing an algorithm. Further, the subject technology executes the particular functionality based on performing a traversal of the graph, the traversal comprising a topological traversal of the set of nodes and the traversal being based on a score indicating whether selection of a particular node for execution over another node enables a greater number of processors to be utilized at a time.

  • Patent number: 11777479
Abstract: Embodiments relate to identifying frequencies to be protected at a victim integrated circuit (IC) and sending protection information including the identified frequencies to an aggressor IC. The aggressor IC configures its subsystems or circuits to operate using operating frequencies that prevents spurs that may interfere with the frequencies identified in the protection information. If not all of the frequencies in the protection information can be protected, the aggressor IC selects a subset of the frequencies to be protected. Then, the aggressor IC configures the operating frequencies of its subsystems or circuits so that spurs that they generate do not interfere with the selected frequencies.
