  • Patent number: 11157072
Abstract: A direct retinal projector may include a gaze tracking system that tracks position of a subject's pupil and automatically adjusts projection of a scanned light field so that the light field enters the pupil. A control loop adjusts a scanning mirror to substantially center an IR beam on a position sensing detector (PSD). In so doing, the scanning mirror is correctly positioned so that the scanned light field from the projector enters the subject's pupil. In addition, a direct retinal projector may include an adjustable focusing element that adjusts focus of a combined light beam generated by a projector as the light beam is scanned to an ellipsoid mirror that reflects the light beam to the subject's pupil. The focusing of the scanned beam may be adjusted as the beam is scanned across the azimuth angle of the curved ellipsoid mirror.

  • Patent number: 11158259
Abstract: An apparatus receives current image frame data and data relating to at least one previous image frame for an electronic display. One or more parameters related to hysteresis of transistors in the electronic display are sensed. A correlation device, such as a look-up table, receives the sensed parameter or parameters and the data relating to one or more image frames, and uses this information, at least in part, to output an appropriate compensation signal for the current image frame data. The compensated current image frame data may then be supplied to the electronic display to reduce or eliminate the effects of hysteresis on the displayed image.

  • Patent number: 11157115
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to one or more intermediate layers located on a surface of a cover material of an acoustic touch screen. In some examples, the one or more layers can include one or more intermediate layers. The one or more intermediate layers can include a first layer including a plurality of features and a second layer located between the first layer and the cover material. In a touch condition, the touch object can apply a force to the top surface of the acoustic touch sensor. The applied force can create one or more local bends causing the plurality of features to move closer to the cover material and causing one or more surface discontinuities in the cover material. The acoustic waves can undergo reflections (e.g., causing the signal to be attenuated) due to the discontinuities located in the path of the wave propagation.

  • Patent number: 11160018
Abstract: An electronic device (such as an access point) may provide a management frame, intended for at least a recipient electronic device, that includes slotted-operation information corresponding to a power-save mode of the electronic device for communication with at least the recipient electronic device. The slotted-operation information may include a sequence of temporal slots and associated channel information for the temporal slots. When a channel for a temporal slot comprises a null value, the power-save mode may include transitioning the electronic device into a lower-power-consumption mode during the temporal slot. Alternatively, when a channel for a temporal slot is different than a null value, the power-save mode may include performing another activity than communicating with the recipient electronic device during the temporal slot.

  • Patent number: 11159217
Abstract: Systems and methods of beam reporting for multiple DL processes are described. A UE receives a beam management processes configuration that provides information about beam management reference signals for beam management procedures. The UE transmits a UE capability report that indicates beam management capabilities of the UE and, later, an indication of whether the UE intends to engage in beam refinement. The UE measures the beam management reference signals and receives a beam reporting message that indicates at least one of the beam management procedures to report. In response, the UE transmits the beam report. The beam report contains beam management reference signal measurements of the beam management procedures indicated by the beam reporting message.

  • Patent number: 11159298
Abstract: Systems and methods of providing DMRS for a UE are generally described. The DMRS locations in a resource unit of a Physical Resource Allocation of a shared channel are randomly determined, and the DMRS sequences randomly generated before transmission from a master UE to a wearable UE. The DMRS locations are disposed on different subcarriers and symbols in the resource unit and are repeated every k subframes or m resource units within the same subframe. In situations in which the collision/contention probability is relatively small, DMRS in control channels may be used rather than in the shared data channel.

  • Patent number: 11158256
Abstract: A display may include an array of organic light-emitting diode display pixels having transistors characterized by threshold voltages subject to transistor variations. Compensation circuitry may be used to sense a current from selected display pixels. A display pixel may include a drive transistor, a gate setting transistor for driving a reference voltage onto the gate terminal of the drive transistor, a data loading and current sensing transistor for connecting the drive transistor to a data/current-sensing line, a light-emitting diode, an emission control transistor coupled between the drive transistor and the diode, and an anode resetting transistor for selectively resetting the anode terminal of the diode. During in-frame current sensing operations, the emission control transistor may be turned off to decouple the drive transistor from the diode, thereby blocking off any residue current and lateral leakage current that may be present at the diode.

  • Publication number: 20210326402
Abstract: In some implementations, a user device can perform personalized translation of content identifiers. For example, the user device can request a content identifier mapping file from a server device that defines how to translate a human readable content identifier into a content server content identifier. The server device can select a mapping file from among a collection of mapping files based on various criteria associated with the user device and send the selected mapping file to the user device. When the user device receives a human readable content identifier, the user device can compare the human readable content identifier to the mapping file to determine how to translate the human readable content identifier into the content server content identifier. Once the content server content identifier corresponding to the human readable content identifier is determined, the client device can use the content server content identifier to obtain corresponding content.

  • Patent number: 11152708
Abstract: An electronic device such as a desktop computer may have a housing. The housing may include a conductive inner frame, conductive handles coupled to the inner frame, and a conductive outer sleeve over the inner frame. The handles may protrude through openings in the outer sleeve. Conductive plates may be aligned with the openings and attached to the inner frame. The handles may pass through holes in the conductive plates. Slot antennas may be formed in the conductive plates. The slot antennas may each include a high band slot that indirectly feeds a pair of low band slots. The conductive plates and the inner frame may define cavities for the antennas. Multi-band slot antennas may be formed within the handles themselves. The handles may include solid metal with a channel or may include hollow metal structures to accommodate transmission lines for the antennas.
