  • Patent number: 11129284
Abstract: A rigid flex printed circuit board (PCB), method of manufacture, and display system incorporating the same are described. In an embodiment, a rigid flex PCB includes a flexible area extending from an adjacent routing area that is thicker than the flexible area. A flexible inner core spans the flexible area and the adjacent routing area. Outer stack-up layers are on the flexible inner core in the adjacent routing area. A cavity is formed in the outer stack-up layers in the routing area and exposes the flexible inner core. In an embodiment, a display system including such a circuit board may include an electronic component mounted on the flexible inner core within the cavity, and a distal end of the flexible area is bonded to a display panel.

  • Patent number: 11126336
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can present a dynamic street scene overlay when presenting a map view on a display of the computing device. The dynamic street scene overlay can be presented such that a user can clearly view both the dynamic street scene and the map view. The dynamic street scene can be dynamically adjusted in response to the user manipulating the map view to a different location. The dynamic street scene can be presented such that the objects in the images of the dynamic street scene have a three-dimensional look and feel. The dynamic street scene can be presented such that the dynamic street scene does not prevent the user from viewing and interacting with the map view.

  • Patent number: 11128977
Abstract: Channels of audio data in a spatial audio object are associated with any one or more of a direction and a location of one or more recorded sounds, which channels are to be reproduced as spatial sound. A visualized spatial sound object represents a snapshot/thumbnail of the spatial sound. To preview the spatial sound (by experiencing its snapshot or thumbnail), a user manipulates the orientation of the visualized spatial sound object, and a weighted downmix of the channels is rendered for output as a spatial preview sound, e.g., a single output audio signal is provided to a spatial audio renderer; one or more of the channels that are oriented toward the user are emphasized in the preview sound, more than channels that are oriented away from the user. Other aspects are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11129072
Abstract: Router advertisements may be used to configure multi-homed Protocol Data Unit (PDU) sessions. A first router advertisement message from a first PDU session anchor and a second router advertisement message from a second PDU session anchor may be decoded. A user equipment (UE) may identify, based on the first and second router advertisement messages, a first preference value associated with destination routes of the first network and a second preference value associated with destination routes of the second data network. The UE may determine a destination data network for a signal by comparing a destination route of the signal to destination routes associated with whichever data network has a greater preference value. The UE may prepare the signal with a prefix based on the destination data network.

  • Patent number: 11128157
Abstract: A wireless charging system may include a wireless power transmitting device that receives multiple wireless power receiving devices. A primary power receiving device that is used to display battery charge status information for other power receiving devices on the power transmitting device may be referred to as a hero device. The other wireless power receiving devices may be referred to as paired devices. When a paired device is added to a wireless power transmitting device where a hero device is already present, the hero device may verify that the paired device is on the same mat as the hero device. The hero device and paired device may then synchronously output a user notification. When a paired device is present on a wireless power transmitting device, the paired device may send battery charge status information to the wireless power transmitting device at predetermined intervals.

  • Patent number: 11127357
Abstract: Techniques for implementing and/or operating an electronic device, which includes a display pixel that emits light to facilitate displaying an image during an emission period and a data driver coupled to the display pixel via a data line. The data driver generates a data line voltage signal based on image data that indicates target luminance of the display pixel in the image and supplies the data line voltage signal to the data line during a non-emission period preceding the emission period to facilitate writing the image to the display pixel. Additionally, the data driver supplies an intermediate voltage greater than a ground voltage to the data line during the emission period in which the image is displayed to facilitate reducing luminance variation in the image resulting from a leakage current flowing between an internal node of the display pixel and the data line during the emission period.

  • Patent number: 11126295
Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface of a first software application that is updated at a first display rate. While displaying a first frame of the user interface in accordance with the first display rate, the device detects respective movement of a touch input across the touch-sensitive surface. An application-independent touch processing module of the device selects a respective touch location of the touch input that was detected during the respective movement to identify as a representative touch location for the respective movement based on touch-processing criteria for the first software application, and sends to an application-specific portion of the first software application touch location information for the touch input that identifies the respective touch location as the representative touch location for the respective movement. The first software application updates the user interface in accordance with the touch location information.

  • Patent number: 11128478
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to electronic security, e.g., for authenticating a mobile electronic device to allow access to system functionality (e.g., physical access to the system, starting an engine/motor, etc.). In some embodiments, a system and mobile device exchange public keys of public key pairs during a pairing process. In some embodiments, an asymmetric transaction process includes generating a shared secret using a key derivation function over a key established using a secure key exchange (e.g., elliptic curve Diffie-Hellman), and verifying a signature of the system before transmitting any information identifying the mobile device. In various embodiments, disclosed techniques may increase transaction security and privacy of identifying information.

  • Patent number: 11129104
Abstract: A telecommunication network may operate to enable a wake up signals (WUSs) within the telecommunication network. A mobility management entity (MME) may estimate a coverage enhancement (CE) level of a user equipment (UE), determine, based on the CE level, a number of repetitions for a wake up signal (WUS) for the UE, and cause a WUS for UE to be transmitted to a radio access network (RAN) node corresponding to the UE. The RAN node may inform the MME that the RAN node has disabled the WUS feature, and may cause system information to be broadcast to UEs in IDLE mode, indicating that the WUS feature of the RAN node has been disabled. A UE may determine a paging occasion (PO) determine a maximum WUS duration, minimum offset, and start location of the WUS.
