  • Patent number: 5835268
Abstract: A screen mounting apparatus for supporting a plurality of vertically and horizontally adjacent rear projection screen panels. The apparatus includes an upper mounting member attachable to a first support and to an upper edge of a rear projection screen panel for hanging the rear projection screen panel from the first support along the upper edge. An intermediate member is attachable to a second support and has inner and outer flanges for respectively engaging inner and outer faces of a rear projection screen panel along its lower edge to provide lateral support to the rear projection screen panel along the lower edge. The intermediate member further has securing means for securing an upper edge of an underlying rear projection screen panel to support the rear projection screen panel from the upper edge.

  • Patent number: 5791807
Abstract: A screen retaining assembly for rear-projection screens. The screen retaining assembly includes an outer retainer having a stem from along an edge of which extend a pair of generally oppositely disposed flanges. A pair of generally adjacent backing plates are secured to each other by inner and outer threaded fasteners. The fasteners have a head for engaging one of the backing plates, a threaded shank extending through the backing plates and received in a nut engaging the other of the pair of backing plates. The stem of the outer retainer is securable between the backing plates to retain the adjacent edges of an adjacent pair of rear projection screens between the flanges and outer faces of the backing plates.

  • Patent number: 5622348
Abstract: A projector mounting and alignment device having a support frame, a base member longitudinally slidable relative to the support frame between a retracted and an axtended position. A connector is provided for connecting the base member to the support frame in the retracted position. A pivot plate is pivotally mounted to the base member. A projector mounting plate is hingedly connected to the pivot plate by a hinge member. The projector mounting plate is also pivotally connected to the hinge member. A pivot plate adjuster acts between the base member and the pivot plate to position the pivot plate relative to the base member. A projector mounting plate adjuster acts between the pivot plate and the projector mounting plate to position the projector mounting plate relative to the base plate.
