Patents Assigned to Applied Nanosystems B.V.
  • Patent number: 6903191
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of purifying a hydrophobin present in a hydrophobin-containing solution. According to the invention the solution is contacted with a surface for the adsorption to that surface, and separated from a solution depleted in hydrophobin. Subsequently the surface is contacted with a solution containing a surfactant at a temperature lower than 90° C. Desorbed hydrophobin is separated from said surface.

  • Patent number: 6896887
Abstract: Methods for improving binding of a proteinaceous substance to cell-wall material of a Gram-positive bacterium are disclosed. The proteinaceous substance includes an AcmA cell-wall binding domain, homolog or functional derivative thereof. The method includes treating the cell-wall material with a solution capable of removing a cell-wall component such as a protein, lipoteichoic acid or carbohydrate from the cell-wall material and contacting the proteinaceous substance with the cell-wall material.

  • Patent number: 6861236
Abstract: The invention includes a method for harvesting a polypeptide produced by a host cell, wherein the polypeptide has not undergone intracellular posttranslational modification, such as dehydration of a serine or a threonine, and/or thioether bridge formation. The invention also includes a method for producing thioether-containing peptides and dehydroalanine/dehydrobutyrine-containing.peptides, wherein thioether rings may be formed extracellularly.
