Abstract: A printing system includes a media transport system configured to transport a web of print media through a printing zone at a transport speed in a transport direction proceeding from up-web to down-web. A plurality of printheads each at least spanning the print zone and each configured to eject a radiation-curable ink. At least one PIN is unit positioned between two of the printheads relative the transport direction and configured to emit radiation onto the print media to partially cure the ink emitted by a printhead that is up-web from the PIN unit. A controller controls a power level of the PIN unit so that the radiative power level of the PIN unit decreases as the transport speed increases.
Abstract: A printing system that comprises a media transport system for conveying a print media along a media path in a first direction. A plurality of print modules each spanning the print media path along a second direction. Each print module defines a major axis along the second direction. A minor axis that aligns along the first direction and an intermediate axis with each of the print modules. A printhead array that includes printheads spaced from the media path. A fluid regulator portion configured to regulate a fluid pressure in the printhead portion. Each of the print modules are configured to be installed into and removed from the printing system as an integral unit.

Abstract: The device of the invention is a device for issuing a ticket (1) from a tape reserve for a printing mechanism. Such device implements at least one pair of rolls (2, 3) motorized (4) for driving the ticket (1) towards an evacuation opening (5) of the mechanism. The implementation of motorized means (4) for driving the rolls (2, 3) is slaved to first control means (7) for issuing A? the ticket (1) and second control means (8) for retracting B? the ticket (1). Means (10) for inhibiting second control means (8) are slaved to means (11) for detecting the moment when the user is taking the ticket (1) in the retracting path B?, for authorizing reverse rotational impulse of the driving rolls (2, 3) in order to return the ticket (1) notwithstanding a prior control (8) for retracting the ticket (1).
Abstract: A thermal printing mechanism comprises a frame accommodating a motor for driving a print tape, a thermal printing head, a carrying roller and electronic control means. The frame is provided with a metal stiffening plate substantially extending along the length thereof, acting as a support for the motor, on which plate it is fixed by means of welding in order to form means for dissipating the heat. Said plate is also used as a support for pushing the spring for the printing head towards the carrying roller. The mechanism is electronically controlled by means of a flexible connector which is connected to remote control means for said mechanism and which is used to evacuate electrostatic charges.
Abstract: A thermal printing head comprises a guide member made in a single-piece and designed as a jumper comprising two superimposed walls, covering, at least partly, respectively and jointly both surfaces of a flexible printed circuit board and providing between them a space for the passage of the support guide wing, enclosed by the flexible printed circuit board, such that the guide member can be elastically nested on the guide wing of the support and provides protection for the flexible printed circuit board in the zone of its junction with the support, and such that, one of the walls of the guide member comprising fingers producing localized elastic pressure on the flexible printed circuit board, an electric contact is provided between the flexible printed circuit board and the support for grounding the printing head via the flexible printed circuit.
Abstract: The device of the invention is a device for issuing a ticket (1) from a tape reserve for a printing mechanism. Such device implements at least one pair of rolls (2, 3) motorised (4) for driving the ticket (1) towards an evacuation opening (5) of the mechanism. The implementation of motorised means (4) for driving the rolls (2, 3) is slaved to first control means (7) for issuing A? the ticket (1) and second control means (8) for retracting B? the ticket (1). Means (10) for inhibiting second control means (8) are slaved to means (11) for detecting the moment when the user is taking the ticket (1) in the retracting path B?, for authorising reverse rotational impulse of the driving rolls (2, 3) in order to return the ticket (1) notwithstanding a prior control (8) for retracting the ticket (1).
Abstract: The invention relates to a thermal printing mechanism, comprising a chassis (1) housing a motor (6) for driving a printable tape, a thermal printing head (4), a backup roller (5) and electronic control means (8). The chassis (1) is fitted with a rigidification plate (9) extending substantially over its length, said plate being made of metal, forms a motor supporting bracket (6) to which it is welded, to provide heat sinking means. Said plate (9) is moreover operated to support a spring for pushing the printing head (4) towards the back-up roller (5). The mechanism is controlled electronically by a flexible connector (8) which is linked to remote control means of the mechanism, and which is besides operated for evacuating the electrostatic charges.
