Abstract: This invention relates to a method of reducing the deleterious effects of water production in a subterranean formation by placing an aqueous phase polymer and/or resin, which at a designated set up time, solidifies and blocks water conduits. This invention pertains specifically to a method of placing the polymer and displacing the polymer and/or resin to establish post treatment gas and oil permeability.
