Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus for detecting door image using machine learning algorithm that can easily detect a door image from a design drawing. The method for detecting a door image using a machine learning algorithm includes extracting a plurality of element images from the drawing; filtering the extracted element images using at least one of the size of the image and the number of right angle components; obtaining histogram information projected on the basis of a specific axis with respect to each of the filtered element images; and detecting at least one door image of the filtered element images by using the obtained histogram information as a feature information.
