Abstract: A plate type heat exchanger includes a large number of plates formed by arranging plates each having concave and convex portions parallel to each other; and a large number of spacers sandwiched between the large number of plates, wherein the spacers include first spacers which are disposed on edges of a plate surface of the plate with a predetermined distance therebetween form a first flow passage in cooperation with the plate surface; and second spacers which are disposed on edges of a plate surface of the plate with a predetermined distance therebetween form a second flow passage having an inlet and an outlet which differ in direction from the first flow passage in cooperation with the plate surface, and the first spacers and the second spacers are alternately arranged between the large number of plates.
