Abstract: A magnetization apparatus for a magnet of a magnetic encoder. The magnetization apparatus is configured to alternately form a positive and a negative magnetization areas by moving a magnetic member along a route penetrating a gap of a magnetization yoke while alternately generating positive and negative magnetic fields in the gap of the magnetization yoke.
Abstract: Characteristics of a blast source and a FEA model representing a surrounding fluid domain are defined. One layer of new border nodes and elements are created outside of the fluid domain's original outer boundary formed by the original border elements. Each new border element/node is associated with one of the original border elements/nodes as corresponding master element/node. At each time step of a time-marching simulation of an underwater explosion, simulated fluid behaviors are computed for all but the new border elements. The computed fluid behaviors of each original border element are saved into a corresponding lookup table configured to store the computed fluid behaviors for a predefined number of time steps in a first-in-first-out manner. Simulated fluid behaviors of each new border element are determined by interpolating, with the calculated blast wave propagation time from the master element, the stored fluid behaviors in the corresponding master element's lookup table.

In one embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack comprising both front-rotated and back rotated plug interface contacts. In another embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack comprising a two-piece front sled. Abstract: A method for configuring an application template. A mobile terminal device receives a command input by a user for requesting to create the application template. The application template is configured to indicate an application required to be launched and a layout of a window of the application required to be launched on a screen, and to instruct launching of the application. The mobile terminal device, according to the command for requesting to create the application template, acquires information of identifiers of all of the applications currently displayed on the screen and information of the layout of the window of each of the applications on the screen, and then creates the application template. Abstract: There are disclosed herein various implementations of an insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) having a deep superjunction structure. Such an IGBT includes a drift region having a first conductivity type situated over a collector having a second conductivity type. The IGBT also includes a gate trench extending through a base having the second conductivity type into the drift region. In addition, the IGBT includes a deep superjunction structure situated under the gate trench. Abstract: In accordance with the following description, an optical communication connector includes a ferrule having retractable alignment pins that are actuable between an extended position and a retracted position. For example, the connector may include an inner housing assembly having optical fibers and an outer housing positioned over the inner housing assembly. The outer housing is shaped to be removable from the inner housing assembly, which has a movable pin clamp mechanically coupled to alignment pins for aligning the connector with another connector. The pin clamp may be slid from a first position (corresponding to a male gender) to a second position (corresponding to a female gender). Separately or in combination with changing gender, the polarity of a communication connector may be changed due to its inclusion of an asymmetric polarity-changing feature that is actuable by an installer to change a polarity of the communication connector.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for forming an opening, including: first, a hard mask material layer is formed on a target layer, next, a tri-layer hard mask is formed on the hard mask material layer, where the tri-layer hard mask includes an bottom organic layer (ODL), a middle silicon-containing hard mask bottom anti-reflection coating (SHB) layer and a top photoresist layer, and an etching process is then performed, to remove parts of the tri-layer hard mask, parts of the hard mask material layer and parts of the target layer in sequence, so as to form at least one opening in the target layer, where during the step for removing parts of the hard mask material layer, a lateral etching rate of the hard mask material layer is smaller than a lateral etching rate of the ODL.
Abstract: A system and method for determination the relative location of a mobile object is described that includes building a database of known/expected locations with the exact longitude and latitude for each location. Next, an estimated location for a mobile object is generated using information from the cellular network and an area boundary is defined around the mobile object that defines, with some probability, where the object is actually located. The known locations in the database that fall within the area boundary are then identified and a relative probability is calculated for each known location that indicates its relative likelihood of where the mobile object is actually located. From this information at least the most probable location of the mobile object is determined along with a measure of estimation confidence.

Abstract: An electric actuator assembly comprises a main actuator including a gear set containing a stepped friction portion located on a gear shaft of a drive gear thereof, an extension rod, and a power drive for rotating the gear set to move the extension rod through a lead screw, and a one-way bearing consisting of an inner race fitted to the gear shaft of the drive gear, an outer race surrounding the inner race, and a backstop mechanism mounted in between. When operating the power drive to rotate the gear set in lifting the extension rod, the inner race is rotated by the gear set relative to the outer race in one direction. When the driving power is off, the one-way bearing cannot rotate in reverse direction, the stepped friction portion is abutted against the flat contact surface of the inner race to produce a braking effect, preventing falling of the load that is supported on the main actuator.

The nano-gaps partially open one of the second and first dielectric layers, or the nano-gaps expose the first capping layer or the second capping layer.
