  • Patent number: 9733832
Abstract: A method for accessing a buffer memory in a memory storage device is provided, wherein the buffer memory, which has a plurality of write buffer units, is equipped in the memory storage device having a rewritable non-volatile memory module. The method includes: receiving a write data from a host system and determining whether the number of used write buffer unit is smaller than a predefined value or not. The method also includes: if the number of the used write buffer unit is not smaller than the predefined value, temporarily storing the write data into one of the write buffer unit which is not being used and transmitting a confirmation message corresponding to the write data to the host system after a predefined time interval. Therefore, the method can reduce the latency of write operations of the host system.

Abstract: Methods for systematically testing a plurality of therapy programs in a spinal cord modulation system, and associated systems are disclosed. A representative method comprises loading a plurality of therapy programs into a signal generator, wherein individual therapy programs include parameters specifying electrode configuration, signal amplitude, and/or signal frequency. The programs are automatically activated for an automatically instructed period of time. The method includes automatically changing from one therapy program to another after the instructed period of time. The patient is queried for patient input corresponding to the therapy programs. The patient input is received via a remote. The patient input is correlated with a corresponding time of day and recorded in the signal generator. Thereafter, the patient input is retrieved from the signal generator.

  • Patent number: 9734908
Abstract: A writing method for a resistive memory cell and a resistive memory using thereof are provided. In the writing method, a group of RESET signals is provided to the resistive memory cell, so as to execute a writing operation. A current of the resistive memory cell is detected to determine whether the writing operation of the resistive memory cell is completed. When the writing operation of the resistive memory cell is not completed, widths of filament paths in the resistive memory cell are determined to be narrowed or not. The voltage of word line of the resistive memory cell in the group of RESET signals is reduced when the widths of the filament paths in the resistive memory cell are narrowed.

Abstract: A touch-screen control panel interface has a dielectric flat or curved front panel and a printed circuit board with a front side and a reverse side which is the component side. Alphanumeric display module(s) or an LCD display and optional protective cap mounted on the reverse side of the circuit board are visible through window cutout(s) on the board. An array of LED indicators can be mounted on the back side of the circuit board and visible through cutouts in the board. Metallized capacitive pads on or adjacent the back side of the front panel at touch locations permit selection of various modes, functions, and settings. These pads may be formed on the flat front side of the circuit board, on the back of the front plate, or on an intermediate membrane. A microprocessor is connected with the various components and with capacitive pad. Icons may be printed onto the flat panel, in registry with the metallized capacitive electrode pads.

Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to capacitive touch panels. First and second glass substrates are substantially parallel and spaced apart from one another. At least one multi-layer transparent conductive coating (TCC) is patterned into electrodes and located between the first and second substrates. The TCC(s) include(s) at least one conductive layer including silver, a dielectric layer including zinc oxide under and directly contacting the conductive layer including silver, and a dielectric layer(s) including tin oxide or silicon nitride over the conductive layer including silver. Processing circuitry electrically connects to the electrodes and measures an aspect of the electrodes' capacitance. A laminate material is located between the first and second glass substrates. The TCC(s), when blanket deposited, may have a visible transmission of at least 88%, a sheet resistances of no more than 10 ohms per square, and a haze of no more than 0.5%. Mutual and self-capacitance designs are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20170227638
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to generating an image of an acoustic field associated with an underwater region. A plurality of submersible sensing devices (SSDs) are disposed so as to be substantially separate from each other in an underwater region, wherein each respective SSD is configured to execute a sink/float mission. During at least a portion of the sink/float mission, within each SSD, an environmental sensor measures at least one environmental parameter, a position sensor detects position information, an acoustic detection sensor detects at least one underwater signal, and a data recording system records mission data. After the sink/float mission, a processor receives mission data from the SSDs and generates an acoustic field image. Advantageously, during the sink/float mission some SSDs can transmit an orthogonal high time-bandwidth signal to help prevent interference between SSD during acoustic detection.

  • Publication number: 20170224084
Abstract: Disclosed is a French artificial nail including an artificial nail body and a French part. The artificial nail body includes a cuticle edge facing the root of a fingernail and a free edge extending towards the tip of the fingernail and is curved downward toward both lateral sides thereof to form a curved surface. The French part is formed on the upper surface of the free edge of the artificial nail body. The artificial nail body is attached to a user's fingernail or toenail through glue and has a lower modulus than the French part. This flexibility of the artificial nail body prevents the formation of bubbles, the incidence of pain and the occurrence of pop-off resulting from glue shrinkage, contributing to an improvement in the wearability and reliability of the final product.
