Abstract: A method for accessing a buffer memory in a memory storage device is provided, wherein the buffer memory, which has a plurality of write buffer units, is equipped in the memory storage device having a rewritable non-volatile memory module. The method includes: receiving a write data from a host system and determining whether the number of used write buffer unit is smaller than a predefined value or not. The method also includes: if the number of the used write buffer unit is not smaller than the predefined value, temporarily storing the write data into one of the write buffer unit which is not being used and transmitting a confirmation message corresponding to the write data to the host system after a predefined time interval. Therefore, the method can reduce the latency of write operations of the host system.
Abstract: The invention relates to compositions and methods that are useful in etching a metal surface. In particular, the invention relates to novel acid compositions and methods of using such compositions in etching a metal surface, preferably an aluminum surface prior to anodizing to dissolve impurities, imperfections, scale, and oxide. The compositions are effective in maintaining their etching capacity and in removing smut produced by the etching of a surface as well as in general cleaning.

Abstract: A mold assembly includes a first mold part having guide passages defined therein. Protruding members are each movably received in a first portion of a respective guide passage to extend selectively in and out of the mold cavity. At least some of the protruding members are movable along different directions from one another. Cables are each connected to one of the protruding members and extend through a linear second portion of the respective guide passage and out of the first mold part. An actuator is connected to the cables and movable relative to the first mold part between an extended position and a retracted position. In the extended position, each protruding member protrudes into the mold cavity. In the retracted position, each of protruding member is retracted out of the mold cavity and contained within the respective guide passage. A guide element and a method of molding are also discussed.
Abstract: The invention relates to the extraction of pharmaceutically active components from plant materials, and more particularly to the preparation of a botanical drug substance (BDS) for incorporation in to a medicament. It also relates to a BDS, for use in pharmaceutical formulations. In particular it relates to BDS comprising cannabinoids obtained by extraction from cannabis.
Abstract: A dive computer with a free dive mode and/or wireless data transmission capabilities. In one embodiment the invention relates to a diving apparatus including a dive computer having a free dive mode, where the dive computer is configured to calculate a nitrogen loading in the free dive mode using a default value which is the fraction of oxygen in air, and where the free dive mode is used when a diver makes a dive without a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus. Another embodiment includes a method of operating a dive computer including recording two or more first identifiers, receiving pressure information from two or more pressure transmitters, the pressure information comprising second identifiers and pressure measurements, determining whether the pressure information contains one of the two or more first identifiers, and displaying a message indicative of the pressure information that contains one of the two or more first identifiers.

Abstract: The present invention provides nucleic acid markers for rapid diagnosis of KD and a kit for detection of the nucleic acid markers. The nucleic acid markers are 4 miRNAs, and the kit comprises primers for quantitative detection of the 4 miRNAs by fluorescent quantitative PCR. The diagnosis of KD can be performed only by quantificationally detecting the contents of the 4 miRNAs in serum exosomes and then analyzing the Ct values of the 4 miRNAs. The present invention possesses the advantages of easily-obtained sample, simple operation, high specificity, time saving, accurate and reliable detection result, etc., so children with KD can be timely and accurately diagnosed. Particularly, KD can be easily distinguished from common virus infection with similar symptoms only by one test. The present invention may play an important role in rapid diagnosis of KD of children and further provide a direction for developing rapid diagnostic kit of KD.
