  • Publication number: 20100295218
Abstract: A process for the gentle and efficient drying of a ceramic honeycomb body is specified. The process is suitable for achieving, with uniform a drying of the honeycomb body, a short drying time and low shrinkage of the honeycomb body. For this, the honeycomb body which is in a moist prefabrication state is frozen and the moisture is removed from the frozen honeycomb body at a reduced pressure.

  • Patent number: 7507684
Abstract: The invention relates to an extruded solid catalyst body for breaking down nitrogen oxides in the presence of a reducing agent as well as to a process for manufacture of said body. The solid catalyst body has an active material that contains 60 to 87% by weight of an ion-exchanged zeolite containing at least one metal from the group containing Cu, Hf, La, Au, In, V, lanthanoids and transition metals of group VIII of the periodic system, more than 10 to 37% by weight of aluminum oxide and 2 to 10% by weight of inorganic fibers. The solid catalyst body, the active material of which contains a zeolite can be manufactured by extrusion and has a high degree of mechanical stability at a high catalytic activity.

  • Patent number: 7393187
Abstract: A diaphragm pump includes a pressure sensor disposed in the housing thereof, and which is used as an expansion tank for protecting the pressure sensor. To avoid excess pressure on the pressure sensor, the pressure sensor membrane is directly disposed in the pump head, i.e., above the pump membrane of the diaphragm pump, such that the increase in volume of the reducing agent during the freezing of the reducing agent inside the diaphragm pump is detected by deflection of the pump membrane against the force of a spring, and the pressure sensor membrane is protected from damage.

  • Patent number: 7316545
Abstract: A reducing agent pump has a pump inlet part and a pump outlet part closing off the pump body at its ends. One or both of the inlet and outlet parts is of two-part construction, with a closure element and another element. The two elements are prestressed relative to one another with a spring element, so that in the event of a pressure which exceeds the spring force of the spring element, a relative movement can be carried out between the two elements of the two-part member. This makes it possible to absorb an increase in the volume of the reducing agent inside the pump body caused by freezing and therefore to prevent damage to the reducing agent pump.

  • Patent number: 7026747
Abstract: A flexural actuator is fitted with an actuator means, the flexural actuator being fitted at its functional section with a sensor means for determination of the longitudinal stretch. This sensor means is placed at a position, and/or is placed in the longitudinal direction symmetrically on either side of such position, at which there is a constant longitudinal stretch independent from the setting force when the functional section is thrusting against a resistance.
