  • Patent number: 11826061
Abstract: An instrument for drilling a hole for a bone screw comprises a shaft having a primary drill fluted portion, a shank, and a middle portion there between. Part of an outer surface of the shaft's middle portion is non-curved. A sleeve surrounds the shaft. The sleeve has an inner surface that is complementary to the outer surface of the shaft's middle portion such that the sleeve slides with respect to the shaft. The sleeve's inner surface contacts the outer surface of the shaft's middle portion at the non-curved part such that the shaft can transmit torque to the sleeve. A countersink drill bit is provided at an end of the sleeve proximate the shaft's primary drill fluted portion. A locking mechanism selectively holds the sleeve in a fixed position with respect to the shaft, locating the countersink drill bit at a selected position with respect to the shaft's drilling end.

  • Patent number: 10085743
Abstract: A staple implant is for influencing or guiding the growth in bone regions bordering the epiphyseal plate, said staple having a transverse web and anchoring limbs arranged on the ends of the transverse web, running parallel to one another and terminating in points. The anchoring limbs, once inserted into the bone, form fixation points on one side of said bone on either side of the epiphyseal, plate. The transverse web has at least one narrowed zone that can be plastically deformed under a flexural load, said zone having any position and form without abrupt transitions and being situated between the fixation points.

  • Patent number: 9980762
Abstract: A bone screw arrangement with a variable length, comprises a guide screw, which is formed with a guide that extends in the axial direction in the interior of the guide screw, and comprises an anchor screw, which has a guide element that is received in the guide such that an arrangement length formed by the guide screw together with the anchor screw can be adjusted by moving the guide element in the axial direction in the guide in the interior of the guide screw. The guide element is received in a free-running manner in a portion of the guide when the guide element is moved in order to change the arrangement length, and the guide element is blocked from running freely in the axial direction at least in a distal end position in which the anchor screw is completely extended.

  • Patent number: 9820787
Abstract: Apparatus for the fixed-angle fixation and compression of a fracture site or osteotomy of a bone includes a bone plate having a plurality of holes and bone screws with a threaded head. The bone screws accommodated in the holes are screwed into the bone. At least one of the holes is a combination of two circular holes of different diameter. As screwing of the bone screw into the bone proceeds through a final stage, engagement of the threads on the head with threads in the combination hole effects relative longitudinal displacement between the plate and the bone whereby it is possible to simplify simultaneous fixed angle fixation and compression of the fracture or osteotomy with use of a single screw. Threads on the head of the bone screw engage threads in the hole which is a combination of the two hole to effect relative motions.

  • Patent number: 9788874
Abstract: A bone plate system is for osteosynthesis with a bone plate, a bone screw, the screw head of which has, at least in sections, a surface structure, a further bone screw, the screw head of which has, at least in sections, a surface structure, a through-hole, which is configured to hold the bone screw polyaxially, a further through-hole, which is associated with the through-hole and configured to hold the further bone screw, a perforation which connects the through-hole and the further throughhole, and a bulge, which is formed opposite to the perforation on the through-hole, extending the latter, hi the screwed-in state, the bone screw and the further bone screw are affixed at a fixed angle in many dimensions by virtue of the screw heads of the bone screw and the further bone screw being secured against a relative notion in relation to one another and in relation to the bone plate by a tensioned multi-point mount, in which attachments of the bone screw are formed in the through-hole at both transition regions be

  • Patent number: 9675462
Abstract: An intermediate body is for a bone implant for replacement of an osseous area. The intermediate body has a base body and a seat which extends axially in the base body and is surrounded by a wall of the base body. The intermediate body is designed to receive and surround an end portion of an intramedullary implant part. A clamp device is assigned to the seat. A clamp component is arranged on the wall of the base body surrounding the seat. In order to clamp, the end portion is inserted beforehand into the seat relative to the wall of the base body. The wall then surrounds the seat and the inserted end portion is movable towards the seat and in the process clamps the end portion in the seat. An implant arrangement is provided with the intermediate body.

  • Patent number: 9668793
Abstract: An anatomically customized plantar bone plate and system for an angularly stable fixation for the arthrodesis of the tarsometatarsal I joint. The bone plate has a distal plate portion which extends in the longitudinal direction and in which a distal bore is formed for receiving a bone screw at a stable angle, a proximal plate portion which extends transverse to the longitudinal direction, and a central plate portion which extends between the distal and the proximal plate portions and which is made with a curved plate portion with at least one bending zone for the purpose of anatomical customization. A plantar bore for receiving a bone screw to be fixed to the sole of the foot at a stable angle and a bore that is medially inclined for receiving a bone screw to be fixed in a medially inclined manner at a stable angle are arranged in the proximal plate portion adjacently to each other transverse to the longitudinal direction.
