Abstract: A system and a method for sizing and finishing the opposed interior side walls and the interior bottom wall between the fixed jaws of an open-ended wrench. The system includes a creep feed grinding machine, a fixture to which the wrenches are secured, a jig that maintains the fixture under the creep feed grinding wheel, and a hydraulic table holding the jig and which slowly raises the jig, fixture, and handles to be ground to the grinding wheel. The method includes securing the fixture to a mounting support, activating a fluid pressure mechanism to release a clamping bar holding the wrenches to a plate member, mounting the wrenches to the fixture, and releasing the clamping bar which is then biased back to its original position so as to clamp the wrenches to the fixture. The fixture is than moved to the jig for the grinding operation.
