  • Patent number: 7008256
Abstract: A coaxial cable connection device comprises a compartment for direct insertion of a previously partially bared end of a coaxial cable to be connected. A contact blade in this compartment is elongate in the same direction as the compartment and spears the coaxial cable between its outer jacket and its shield. The device further comprises a contact terminal with which the central core of the coaxial cable is engaged, a base of which the contact blade is part, and a cap fixed to the base in a closed position of the device and comprising a retaining member in the immediate vicinity of the contact blade in the closed position. The retaining member, in the closed position, grips the outer insulative jacket of a cable speared on the blade on the side opposite the blade.

  • Patent number: 6729914
Abstract: A low-current female socket of the modular jack type comprises a series of eight aligned metal contacts, each of which having a tail and a contact part which extends in female entry mouth and which is adapted to make electrical contact with a metal contact of a plug. The central four metal contacts of the series are shorter contacts that follow a one-way path from their tail, with the contact parts thereof parallel to each other and oriented generally toward the front of the female entry mouth, and the two metal contacts at the ends are longer contacts that follow a path with portions in two opposite directions and whose contact parts are oriented generally toward the rear of the female entry mouth.

  • Patent number: 5871378
Abstract: A connection unit for transmission networks includes contact members which cooperate with a conjugate connection unit and connection terminals in an insulative material body, each of which is individually connected to the contact members by electrical conductors and each of which includes at least one connection unit having a circumferentially elongate slot around an axis. A barrel coaxially associated with two connection units circumferentially staggered around one such axis is rotatable about said axis and forces an electrical wire into the slot of each of the connection members. To this end the barrel has, in corresponding relationship to the slot of each of the connection units, a passage adapted to have an electrical wire of this kind engaged in it.

  • Patent number: 4929190
Abstract: An insulation displacement connector comprises an insulative material body in which is a generally tubular metal contact member. This includes two at least part-cylindrical shell members of which one is a floating shell member and extends circumferentially cantilever fashion from a root generatrix. It is elastically deformable in the radial direction relative to this root generatrix. Respective inner and outer lips on the shell member define a slit extending around at least part of the circumference of the contact member. A barrel member rotatable about an axis of the connector forces an electrical conductor into the slit. At least in an unstressed condition of the connector, there is peripheral clearance between the floating shell member and the insulative material body.
