Patent number: 8561868Abstract: An example hammer tacker includes a contact face for contacting a material and a firing mechanism adjacent the contact face. The firing mechanism drives a staple into the material when the contact face is brought into contact with the material. A curved staple guide extends from adjacent the contact face.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2007Date of Patent: October 22, 2013Assignee: Arrow Fastener Co., Inc.Inventor: Ilya Shor

Patent number: 7637407Abstract: An example fastener gun includes a housing having a plunger and a power spring for driving a fastener into a workpiece, and a trigger arm pivotally attached to the housing at a trigger pivot. The trigger arm lifts the plunger to bias the power spring when the trigger arm pivots in a first direction. The example fastener gun also includes a handle extending upwardly from the housing and pivotally attached to the housing at a handle pivot, and a roller for pivoting trigger arm in the first direction when the handle moves toward the housing. The roller moves away from the trigger pivot when the handle moves toward the housing.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2007Date of Patent: December 29, 2009Assignee: Arrow Fastener Co., Inc.Inventor: Ilya Shor

Patent number: 7503400Abstract: A nail gun includes a power coil for moving a plunger in two opposed directions. The plunger is first moved away from a nail, and force from this movement is stored in a force storage mechanism. The plunger is then driven by the coil in an opposed direction, and the force stored within the forced storage mechanism is released, such that the released force and the power force from the coil are combined to drive a nail into a work piece.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2004Date of Patent: March 17, 2009Assignee: Arrow Fastener Co., Inc.Inventor: Dan Llewellyn

Publication number: 20080290133Abstract: A fastener gun includes a housing having a plunger and a power spring for driving a fastener into a workpiece, and a trigger arm pivotally attached to the housing at a trigger pivot. One end of the trigger arm lifts the plunger to bias the power spring when the trigger arm pivots in a first direction toward the housing. A member contacting the trigger arm is provided that moves away from the trigger pivot as the handle moves toward the housing, so that force is applied at different locations on the trigger arm when the handle is squeezed, increasing the mechanical advantage of using the fastener gun.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2008Publication date: November 27, 2008Applicant: ARROW FASTENER CO., INC.Inventor: Ilya Shor

Patent number: 7097088Abstract: A forward acting stapler includes a unique linkage for driving a firing lever. The linkage includes two links that are each connected to the trigger lever by a roller. The roller is movable within a spot in the trigger lever. As the handle is driven, the two links cause the triggering level to pivot. As the trigger lever pivots it lifts a plunger against a spring force. At some point, the trigger portion releases the plunger allowing the plunger to be returned by the spring force by a staple.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2004Date of Patent: August 29, 2006Assignee: Arrow Fastener Co., Inc.Inventor: Ilya Shor

Patent number: 6173877Abstract: A nail magazine for a power nailer is disclosed which includes an elongated housing formed from a pair of parallel side walls which have a plurality of opposed elongated channels formed therein cooperating to define a plurality of guide tracks which receive the heads of a strip of nails fitting between the side walls. The side walls have a discharge end from which nails in the strip are discharged. The nails are biased towards the discharge end of the strip by a spring pusher arrangement including a flat plate received between the side walls.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1999Date of Patent: January 16, 2001Assignee: Arrow Fastener Co., Inc.Inventor: Rudolf Wingert

Patent number: 5884829Abstract: A staple gun tacker for driving staples of various leg lengths is disclosed in which the staple gun housing has a front staple gun driving end and a base. The base has a staple discharge opening formed therein through which staples to be driven by the staple gun are discharged into a workpiece. A staple spacer guide is slidably mounted on the staple driving end of the housing and includes a free end which extends beyond the staple discharge opening and the base of the staple gun. Cooperating means are provided on the spacer guide and the housing to enable the spacer guide to be retracted along the housing relative to the base, thereby to control the position of the staple discharge opening relative to the workpiece into which a staple is to be driven. By controlling the position of the staple driving end of the staple gun relative to the workpiece, the depth to which a particular staple is driven in the workpiece can be controlled to avoid damage to the item being stapled to the workpiece.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 1996Date of Patent: March 23, 1999Assignee: Arrow Fastener Co., Inc.Inventor: Rudolf Wingert
