Abstract: A cylinder lock includes a shell and a plug inside the shell. A locking pin, a sensor pin and a flexible coupling are mounted within the plug. The sensor pin moves the flexible coupling and the coupling moves the locking pin to an unlocked position when the correct key is inserted into a key slot in the plug. The key includes a locking pin receiving notch, to allow the locking pin to move to the unlocked position. The key also includes a contact surface that moves the sensor pin and thereby moves the locking pin to the unlocked position through the flexible coupling. When an incorrect key, without the locking pin receiving notch, is inserted, the flexibility of the flexible coupling allows the sensor pin to move without moving the locking pin. The cylinder lock may also include conventional pin tumblers.

The removable core cylinder assembly includes accessories of a removable face plate which covers an axial recess in the cylinder shell for the locking tab and provides shelter to the head of the cylinder plug, and which is protected from removal from the cylinder shell by two stepped portions of the cylinder plug; and a key which includes a stop at the end of the tip of the key blade.

Abstract: A lever handle door lock keeps the lever handle horizontal and accommodates pre-manufactured doors with pre-drilled mounting holes at varying rotational orientations by providing a two piece adapter connection between the lever handle and a rose. The rose is mounted to the door via the mounting holes and includes a spring for returning the lever handle to horizontal. A first adapter piece is rotatably driven by the spring to return to a home position relative to the rose. A second adapter piece is connected to the lever handle and is adjustably connectable to the first adapter piece at different desired rotational orientations. Rotating the adjustable connection between the first and second adapter pieces changes the angle between the lever handle and the home position on the rose to bring the lever handle to horizontal regardless of the rotational orientation of the rose.

Abstract: A cylindrical lock assembly for mounting in a door panel having a transverse bore includes a lock chassis adapted to fit within the bore which has lever handles on rotatable spindles for actuating a latch bolt. The chassis additionally has a support opening on at least the first side of the door panel. A support plate having a diameter greater than the bore is mounted on each side of the door panel and is non-rotatably secured to the panel. The support plate includes an opening corresponding to and aligned with the chassis support opening. A threaded support plate fastener having a hollow, elongated body with an internal opening extending along its length is adapted to extend through the opening in one of the support plates and into the chassis support opening to non-rotatably secure the chassis to the support plate.
