    Abstract: A bar tool set and support platform. The platform module has a form factor and appearance of a partially disassembled replica of a riding vehicle such that the platform module has a seat tube and a head tube. At least one of the seat tube and the head tube has an open end defining a receiving space for receiving one or more of the bar tools. A wheel frame member is attached to one of the head tube and seat tube and defines a mounting region. At least a coaster or a strainer is configured for mounting to the mounting region. The bar tool has a corkscrew or container opener. The corkscrew has a corkscrew working end which can seat in the open end, and a handle end configured as handlebars positioned above the open end. When one of the coaster and strainer is received in the mounting region, the replica of the riding vehicle is substantially presented.

    Abstract: A filter for filtering a flow of liquid a filter assembly with a number of filter disks coaxially arrayed along a central flow path within a pressure vessel. Each filter disk has a number of segments. The segments are preferably implemented as spacers with outward-facing filler screen support configurations supporting first and second filter screens. The filter screen support configurations have a cellular form that is open over a majority of a surface area, An arrangement of support ribs are deployed to maintain a spacing between the first and second filter screen support configurations. At least 80 percent of an internal volume of each of the segments is preferably open to allow liquid flow from the screens to the central flow path. Also disclosed are modular structure's of the filter disks, and a backwash arrangement which performs a spiral scanning motion across the surface of each filter disk.

A pivotally displaceable locking device, when set to a locked condition, prevents displacement of the actuator.

    Abstract: A phacoemulsification needle having a hollow passageway terminates in a straight needle tip formed off-axis from the passageway, allowing the needle tip to move eccentrically when the needle is subjected to torsional or longitudinal vibratory motion. The tip may be flared or may be coextensive with the needle body. The aspiration passageway formed through the needle body may be formed off-axis from the needle body axis. The tip may also be angled with respect to the needle body. The inner and outer surfaces of the needle tip are roughened, as by sandblasting, to enhance the cutting effect of the tip when used with a non-longitudinal handpiece. The lip of each needle tip is polished to a high degree of smoothness and the edges of the tip are rounded to lessen the incidence of snags or cuts.

This filter can be applied to an unknown media sample to produce a rating of the media sample. Filter monitoring may be performed on the filter by comparing the ratings of a media sample from the criterion of quality and the filter.

    Abstract: An electroluminescent switch is described incorporating an electroluminescent lamp assembly and one or more membrane switch assembly. The rear or base electrode of the electroluminescent lamp and a conductive layer of the membrane switch are superimposed on opposite sides of the same element which functions as the means by which the membrane switch may be closed upon actuation by a user. The membrane switch can be constructed from two electrodes arranged so that the conductive layer when brought into contact with said electrodes, shorts the electrodes thereby closing the circuit. Applications for the membrane switch include electronic devices where panel switches are required or electronic devices requiring particularly thin switches which are to be backlit.

The pipe-shaped lens components can be carbon nanotubes, and the liquid can be a mixture of a solvent and a lubricant such as silicon grease which has had its viscosity reduced.
