Abstract: A control method is provided for controlling a lighting system for automatically adjusting the colour temperature of the lighting system, by adjusting the colour temperature of the light emitted by the lighting system during one day according to a pre-set daily emission profile; the colour temperature emitted by the lighting system is progressively adjusted during the day according to a daily emission profile represented by a spline function consisting of a plurality of spline function portions corresponding to respective pre-set time periods; the daily emission profile is, moreover, modified based on a geographic position and, in particular, a latitude of the lighting system being controlled, as well as on the current date.
