Abstract: The arterial health of an individual can be determined by: attaching a fingertip photopiethysmography device to a fingertip of the hand of the elevated arm of the individual; measuring the analog pulse contour of the individual using the fingertip photopiethysmography device; digitizing the analog pulse contour; analyzing the digitized pulse contour for stable waveforms; processing the stable waveforms of the digitized pulse contour using dynamic time warping; comparing the stable waveforms to a library of known disease state waveforms; and assigning a most probable disease state for the individual based on said comparison.
