Abstract: A hemostatic material is described, which eliminates the risks of conventional chitosan-derived products, such as the onset of shellfish allergy and endotoxin contamination, can be used safely for more people, and has an antibacterial property and a hemostatic function that widely-used hydrogels lack, and a wound dressing containing the same. A hemostatic material containing cationized cellulose and a wound dressing containing the hemostatic are described. At least one of hydroxyl groups of the cationized cellulose is modified with —R2—N+(R3)(R4)(R5).X?, other hydroxyl groups of the cationized cellulose have —H, or —(CH2CH2O)m—H, R2 represents C1-6 alkylene, C2-6 hydroxyalkylene, —(CH2CH2O)1—, or a combination thereof, 1 represents 1 or 2, m represents 1 or 2, and X? may represent an anionic group.
Abstract: A needle cap and a dialysis circuit priming device with increased safety and convenience in the cleaning and priming of a blood circuit are provided. According to the present invention, a needle cap is provided including two needle connecting parts, and a flow path connecting the two needle connecting parts. A dialysis circuit priming device is also provided including two needles, two needle connecting parts each arranged with the two needles respectively, and a flow path for connecting the two needle connecting parts.
Abstract: Provided is a local hemostasis material, which exerts little influence on the human body, is inexpensive, and exerts a good hemostatic. The local hemostasis material comprises a base material having a first major surface and a layer including cationized cellulose on the first major surface, wherein the layer including cationized cellulose has a thickness of no less than 6.7 µm.
Abstract: An object is to provide a blood purifying device and an access flow rate measuring method enabling easy and accurate measurement of an access flow rate of an access vessel. A blood purifying device includes a flow rate calculating unit calculating the access flow rate of an access vessel based on an initial blood indicator for blood distributed through a vein side circuit and flowing through the access vessel of a patient, the flow rate distributed through measuring means when a pump is reversed to cause the priming solution to flow out from an artery side circuit, and a blood indicator for the blood diluted with the priming solution which is obtained when the pump is reversed to dilute, with the priming solution, the blood distributed through the vein side circuit.
