Abstract: An assembly for controlling fluid flow between a fluid source and an outlet includes an electrically operable valve interposed between the fluid source and the outlet, the valve being actuatable between an open position and and a closed position; and an activator device comprising (i) a user-activatable sensor configured to detect a stimulus when the stimulus enters a detection zone, (ii) a transmitter configured to transmit a signal upon activation of the sensor by a user to a controller for actuating the valve, and (iii) an orientation detector configured to detect among at least two orientations of the activator device. When the activator device is in a first orientation, a zone of detection of the sensor may extend no farther than a predetermined distance from the sensor, and when the activator is in a second orientation, the zone of detection may extend farther than the predetermined distance from the sensor.

Abstract: A method and system having a water-flush toilet having a toilet bowl that is in fluid communication with a water source and is mounted with a sensor. The sensor includes a transmitter to transmit an ultrasonic signal and a receiver to receive an ultrasonic signal. The sensor may measure a Time of Flight (ToF) of the signal to obtain a ToF measurement. A microcontroller is electrically connected to the sensor and may receive and process the ToF measurement using an algorithm to determine a bowl status. The toilet also includes at least one water valve that is disposed between the bowl and the water source, and that is electrically connected to the microcontroller for instructing the at least one water valve to move from a first position to a second position for a duration of time, wherein the duration of time corresponds to the bowl status.

A trapway for passing fluid from the bowl outlet to the toilet body outlet is also included. The base of the toilet body extends from a front bowl portion of the base to a rear portion of the base that contacts the back plate, and the base is configured so as to distribute load bearing forces when applied to the bowl in use towards each of a first area around the first fastener opening and a second area around the second fastener area.

Abstract: Systems and methods are shown for providing hot beverages using a beverage system integrated into a faucet. The faucet-integrated beverage system can include a hot water reservoir mounted under a countertop and fluidly coupled to a cold water supply line. The temperature and fill level in the hot water reservoir can be controlled using control circuitry provided on a circuit board communicatively coupled to the hot water reservoir and one or more sensors. A beverage supply line can extend from the hot water reservoir to a beverage dispensing unit, which can be coupled to the faucet or mounted on the faucet deck. The beverage system can also include an activation button mounted on the faucet or the faucet deck and communicatively coupled to the control board for initiating a brewing process.
