Abstract: An exposure control device for an interchangeable-lens camera in which factors preventing the establishment of a relationship which ensures proper matching of the photographing lens and the camera body on both the lens side and the camera body side are taken into account. Memories are provided both in the lens and the camera body for storing values characterizing the lens and camera body with respect to parameters such as focal length, exit pupil position, vignetting factor, and open-aperture F number. Specific equations are disclosed for carrying out corrections.
