Abstract: A process for manufacturing a vehicle wheel includes the steps of preparing a wheel raw material blank in which rim raw material is integrally formed at a peripheral edge of a disk member. The rim portion is formed by spinning the rim raw material while rotating the wheel material about the axis of the disk member. Thereafter, such spin molded raw material is heat treated, and then machined by cutting. The center portion of the rim is spin formed to its final thickness while the rim edge portions are left with a thickness after spin molding that requires machine cutting to the final dimensions.
Abstract: A coating composition comprising a colloidal silica, a partial condensate of organoalkoxysilane hydrolyzate, a polymer or a copolymer of unsaturated ethylenic monomers, a surface active agent and glycol derivatives, which is coated on a wheel for vehicles shows excellent properties such as adhesive property, filiform corrosion resistance, stain resistance, weather-resistance and impact resistance. A wheel coated with the coating composition for vehicles also shows excellent properties such as filiform corrosion resistance, stain resistance, weather-resistance and impact resistance.
Abstract: An apparatus for transmitting power obtained by converting the exhaust energy of an engine. An exhaust port is connected to an output turbine via a turbine intake port. The turbine drives an output shaft via a fluid compressor, which in turn is connected via an outlet port to an intake port of a rotary piston type expansion engine having an eccentrically rotating triangle shaped rotor with a double jointed trochoidal shaped rotor housing.
Abstract: A colored, anodized aluminum-base article including an aluminum-base substrate, and first and second anodized aluminum oxide films overlaid thereon. The inner, second film has a hardness of about 330 Hv or more, while the outer, first film is more porous than the second film and has a hardness of about 270 Hv or less. The first film is colored with a coloring agent. The article is prepared by anodizing an aluminum-base substrate in an electrolyte bath at a temperature of 20.degree.-40.degree. C. and, subsequently at a temperature not higher than 10.degree. C., the resultant substrate having two types of anodic aluminum oxide films formed thereon being subjected to a coloring treatment.
Abstract: The disclosed automatically meshing sheet winch has a drum to be driven either directly or indirectly through a reduction gear by a main shaft, and a rope guide which includes an internal gear operatively related to another internal gear formed on a fixed base frame of the winch through a gear mounted on the main shaft, whereby the rope guide can be set at any desired angular position without modifying the position of the base frame.
