  • Patent number: 8628045
Abstract: A high-lift device track 5 comprising a first track end 6 comprising attachment points for the high-lift device 4, two vertical flanges 16 connected by a horizontal web 17, a set of raceways 10,11,12 for guiding rollers 13 or glide pads, and a gear rack 7 installed between said flanges 16 over a first track segment 18. This first track segment 18 presents an inverted-U, or cross-section. However, between said first track segment 18 and a second track end 20 opposite to said first track end 6, the track 5 comprises a second track segment 21 presenting a depth d between the horizontal web 17 and lower edges 25 of the vertical flanges 16 which decreases towards said second track end 20, so that, at said second track end, the track presents an H cross-section. FIG. 4.

  • Patent number: 8550442
Abstract: The present invention relates to a workpiece holding device (101, 201) comprising a substantially spherical ball (107, 207) with means for releasably retaining a workpiece (901), a socket (102, 202) with a first ball-receiving surface (105, 205) and means for mounting said socket (102, 202) on a worktable (905), and means for releasably clamping said ball (107, 207) against said first ball-receiving surface (105, 205). The first ball-receiving surface (105, 205) is shaped on a ball-receiving element (104, 204) mounted moveable, within said socket (102, 202), along at least one axis in a plane substantially perpendicular to its clamping force. The invention also relates to a workpiece holding system comprising three workpiece holding devices (101, 201, 301), as well as to a method for using this workpiece holding system.

  • Patent number: 8245982
Abstract: A wing, comprising a structure, an outer skin, and a leading edge device comprising a moveable body with a leading and a trailing edge and a support and actuation mechanism for attaching said moveable body to a structure of a wing and guiding a substantially circular motion of said moveable body, around a hinge line, between a retracted position and at least one deployed position. Said leading edge device further comprises at least one guiding device comprising a track and a follower with a roller. The track follows a substantially circular arc substantially centered on the hinge line. The roller is arranged to be guided by the track and hold down said moveable aerodynamic surface so as to substantially restrict lift-off of its trailing edge from the outer skin of the wing.
