Conveniently, three of these packing stations are arranged substantially parallel to each other. Each packing station may be associated with a corresponding payment interface. Customer throughput is increased by providing multiple packing areas associated with one loading and scanning area, and customer convenience is improved by the faster and more efficient configuration of the checkout terminal.

Abstract: A sampling stand for displaying samples of food products such as in a grocery retail store. A base unit of the sampling stand has a display worktop. A gantry is mounted above the base unit. A projector unit located in the gantry projects a visible image onto the display worktop of the base unit and/or onto a surrounding floor area. A motion sensor is arranged in the gantry and detects motions between the gantry and the base unit, and/or between the gantry and the floor area. A controller is configured to control the visible images projected by the projector dependent upon the motion sensed by the motion sensor.

The system (1) comprises at least one carrier (3) with at least a bottom (34) which defines thereon a space for the products and/or packagings, a storage area (2), such as a storage rack or shelving system, for selectively accommodating the carrier, and at least one transporter (4) for selective displacement of the carrier from and/or to and into and/or out of the storage area. In a situation where it is accommodated in the storage area the carrier comprises a gripping element (31) on a side oriented outside the storage area, and the transporter comprises a gripping device (23) acting on the gripping element at least during displacement of the carrier into and/or out of the storage area. Space can thus be saved in the storage area laterally of carriers placed therein, and a compact configuration of the storage area can be realized.

Abstract: A compliance monitoring system is described suitable for display units in a retail store. A wearable device is configured to be worn by a user while in use. The wearable device may be coupled to a server. The wearable device is configured to determine a display unit to be checked for compliance and retrieve a reference image from the server, wherein the reference image shows the display unit in an ideal state. The wearable device may display the retrieved reference image in a field of view of the user while the user also views the display unit, thereby allowing a compliance comparison therebetween.

Abstract: A display unit survey system comprises a wearable device such as smart glasses configured to capture a plurality of survey images showing display units in a retail store and to generate survey image metadata associated therewith. At least one server device holds a survey image database to store the survey images and metadata, wherein the at least one server device is configured to determine a supplier entity for each survey image according to the survey image metadata, collate the stored survey images into a plurality of packages according to the determined supplier entity, and communicate each package to a recipient device of the determined supplier entity.
