  • Patent number: 6460732
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for opening and closing containers having flexible walls and containing a liquid or semi-liquid product, preferably foodstuff such as e.g. ketchup, mustard, dressing, mayonnaise or similar. The container (1) comprises an inner coupling member (4) which is located on the inner side of a sealed or closed portion of the flexible walls (2). A tube member (12) includes a hole-making and coupling member (13) which is pressed through the closed portion of the flexible walls (2) and connected to the inner coupling member (4). The tube member (12) further includes a sealable member (14) which is adapted to be sealed or closed by means of a sealing or closing means (16) such that a container (1) opened by the tube member (12) can be closed again. The sealing or closing means (16) is connected with the tube member (12) or with a member (17) associated therewith.

  • Patent number: 6257844
Abstract: A pump device for pumping liquid foodstuff includes a pump housing having an inlet and an outlet for pumping the foodstuff therethrough. A pump body is disposed within the pump housing having an elastic member which contains a predetermined volume of pressurized liquid. The pressurized liquid expands the elastic member from an unpressurized normal shape to a prestressed shape. The volume of liquid contained within the elastic member remains substantially fixed while the elastic member expands from its prestressed shape to a stretched shape to pump a predetermined amount of foodstuff out of the outlet.

  • Patent number: 6109315
Abstract: A dispensing device for dispensing portions of liquid products (5) from a package (1) with flexible walls (4) is provided. A package and a coupling device are provided. The package (1) comprises a first coupling device (6), a dispensing device (3), for dispensing portions of the liquid product (5) from the package (1), comprises a second coupling device (19) and a cassette (2), in which the package (1) can be located, comprises a third coupling device (20). The first coupling device (6) of the package (1) and the third coupling device (20) of the cassette (2) are interconnectable without opening the package (1) and, when said first and third coupling devices (6 and 20) are interconnected, the first coupling device (6) of the package (1) can be connected to the second coupling device (19) of the dispensing device (3) such that the package (1) is opened.

  • Patent number: 5730327
Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement for portioning or dispensing viscous material from a pack, whereby the pack is positionable in an outer container and a portioning or dispensing unit includes a non-return valve which prevents the material from flowing back to the pack during portioning or dispensation. For being able to quickly place the pack in the outer container and quickly and safely lock a retaining portion as well as ensure than vital valve members of the non-return valve are not damaged during handling and operation of the portioning unit, the outer container is divided in a special way into two container members, whereby retaining members of the retaining device are integrated in the container members and whereby the valve seat of the non-return valve is surrounded by the retaining members of the retaining device.

  • Patent number: 5462203
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dispenser for feeding out convenient units of two liquid products. The dispenser (1), preferably, is intended for manual handling and manual feed-out of viscous products, such as mustard (2), ketchup (3), or similar sauces on food products, such as hamburger bread rolls (4) or the like. To bring about an essential reduction of the time required for feeding out convenient units of the two liquid products (2, 3), the dispenser (1) was a first container (5) holding one liquid product (3), a second container (15) positioned within the first container, the second container holding the other liquid product (2), and a pump assembly (18) adapted to simultaneously feed out convenient units of the two liquid products (2, 3) from their respective containers (5, 15).

  • Patent number: 5452826
Abstract: Portioning arrangement for dispensing portions of liquid foodstuff (2) from a foodstuff container, where the portioning device exhibits a portioning housing which exhibits a holding part (7) and a portioning device (8) attachable to this in such a way that the holding part (7) and the portioning device (8) together form a portioning chamber (9) and where the portioning device (8) is arranged to allow foodstuff (2) to be drawn by suction out of the foodstuff container and into the portioning chamber (9) and dispensed from it, principally on to food such as a hamburger or the like. In order to be able to quickly and effectively clean this portioning arrangement (1) internally by dismantling only a small number of parts without tools, the portioning device (8) is designed as a bung-like part (24) which is intended to be inserted into a space (23) intended for the purpose in the holding part (7) so that the bung-like part (24) plugs with a seal and sits securely in said space (23).
