  • Patent number: 4348634
Abstract: Disclosed is a manual control means for motor-assisted manual control of a motor-driven member.A control handle bears against the centre of a deformable diaphragm in the form of a cross. The outer end of each of the arms of the diaphragm is mounted to pivot freely in a fixed support means. When the diaphragm is deformed by movements of the handle, pairs of strain gauges attached to each of the arms produce electrical signals which are processed for use to control the motor-driven member to cause it to be driven in the sense of the movement of the handle.

  • Patent number: 4300362
Abstract: An articulation for a manipulation arm at one end of which a tool, e.g. a spray gun, is to be mounted has two supporting elements such as plates or rings which are intercoupled by connecting rods, and joints between the connecting rods and the supporting elements have at least two degrees of freedom. A preferred number of rods is three, and two of the joints may be pivotally mounted to one of the supporting element but a third is non-rotatably mounted. By independent angular driving of two of the coupling rods a wide range of articulation displacements may be caused as between the supporting elements and hence communicated to a tool mounted on one of them. Furthermore the attitude of the tool about an axis perpendicular to the ring may be controlled by a rotatable drive rod linking pivots disposed centrally of each supporting element.

  • Patent number: 4152543
Abstract: An installation for transmitting telephone signals or data with time multiplexing for a plurality of subscriber sets divided into a number of groups. At least one pair of multiplexing gates actuated in synchronism are employed for each group, one for transmission and the other for reception. There is included at least one time multiplex connection, and at least one pair of first supplementary gates, respectively inserted between the multiplex connection and the transmission and reception gates connected to the subscriber sets in each single group. The first supplementary gates are actuated in synchronism with the corresponding transmission and reception gates. In the event of a fault in the transmission gate or reception gate connected to a subscriber set, the corresponding first supplementary gate is kept closed for the duration of the fault, thereby isolating the group; the remainder of the system is permitted to operate.

  • Patent number: 4127750
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for transmitting and receiving coded telephone pulses. This apparatus includes a modulation channel and a demodulation channel which are connected to a telephone instrument via a subscriber line and a duplexer, including an operational amplifier, for separating the transmitted and received signals. The demodulation channel of this apparatus comprises a demodulator whose output is connected to an active demodulating filter of the Sallen-Key type having a low-pass-type response curve adapted to compensate the distortion resulting from the demodulation.

  • Patent number: 4001524
Abstract: A duplexer coupling a subscriber line of a PCM telephone system to a modulation channel and a demodulation channel comprises a plurality of transistorized amplifier stages with input connections from the demodulation channel and output connections to the modulation channel. The modulation channel is decoupled from the demodulation channel by being connected, directly or through one such amplifier stage, to a neutral point of a resistance network inserted between the demodulation channel and a transistor connecting the latter channel to the subscriber line; the neutral point may be the junction of two resistors or the output of an operational amplifier having inverting and noninverting inputs connected to cophasally energized points of the resistance network. Each of the two channels includes a filter and an associated amplifier which may be combined into an active filter of the Tchebycheff type. In the quiescent state of the system the power supply to the active filters may be cut off.
