Patent number: 11398324Abstract: A multiple parallel conductor that is easy to produce and use and has a plurality of twisted, insulated individual conductors. The individual conductors are arranged above one another in a plurality of sub-conductor bundles arranged next to one another. A strip is applied to the multiple parallel conductor on a side surface of the multiple parallel conductor in the longitudinal direction of the multiple parallel conductor, on which strip spacer plates are arranged so as to be distributed in the longitudinal direction, and the multiple parallel conductor together with the strip and the spacer plates is wrapped with a wrapping.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2019Date of Patent: July 26, 2022Assignee: ASTA ELEKTRODRAHT GMBHInventor: Thomas Trimmel

Patent number: 9153359Abstract: In order to be able to industrially produce a transposed conductor having jointly transposed partial conductors located next to one another, the invention proposes that the rounding of at least one edge (15) of a single conductor (11) of a single conductor group (12) that limits a contact surface (14) between two single conductors (11) located next to one another is embodied with a smaller radius (r2) than the radii (r1) of the roundings of the outer edges (13) of the single conductor group (12).Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2012Date of Patent: October 6, 2015Assignee: ASTA ELEKTRODRAHT GMBHInventors: Thomas Trimmel, Martin Trimmel

Publication number: 20140062647Abstract: In order to be able to industrially produce a transposed conductor with jointly transposed partial conductors located one atop the other and in order to be able to further process such a transposed conductor to form a winding, the invention proposes that two adjacent single conductors (11) located one atop the other be connected to one another on their contact surfaces (16) in a non-positive fashion, preferably that they be adhered to one another.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2012Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: ASTA ELEKTRODRAHT GMBHInventors: Thomas Trimmel, Martin Trimmel

Patent number: 6563413Abstract: Multiple parallel conductor for an electrical machine and process. The conductor includes a plurality of adjacent subconductors combined to form a subconductor bundle having an outer surface with a plurality of contiguous surface sections arranged in a longitudinal direction, and a flat protective insulation covering at least one of the plurality of surface sections. At least one of the plurality of surface sections remains uncovered by the flat protective insulation covering. A mesh sheathing further covers the plurality of surface sections.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2000Date of Patent: May 13, 2003Assignee: Asta Elektrodraht GmbHInventors: Johann Ponweiser, Gernot Schnaubelt

Patent number: 5584438Abstract: A process and a device for performing the process are each provided, where the process produces a transformer winding from angularly profiled wires, where the angularly profiled wires are wound by guiding the same into a twist head and arranging such unwound profiled wires into two adjacently located conductor stacks, upper and lower conductors from the respective stacks being interchanged to the other stack through an offset. A twisted conductor is formed and is wound on a support cylinder in order to conform the twisted conductor to a transformer winding which is to be placed on the core of the transformer. While winding the twisted conductor onto the support cylinder, the position of the same is continuously detected, and an output signal indicating the position is outputted to a comparing mechanism for comparing the actual detected position to a preset value. In addition, the diameter of the resulting winding is scanned, and based upon the winding diameter, the twist head is controlled accordingly.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 1994Date of Patent: December 17, 1996Assignee: Firma Asta Elektrodraht GmbHInventor: Kurt Jagersberger

Patent number: 5477007Abstract: The present invention is directed to a twisted conductor in which better use is made of the material and at the same time the structural dimensions are reduced. The partial conductor has a sharp bend so that the two partial conductor stacks are mutually parallel and leave a space between them. An intermediate piece is fitted in this space in the region of the bend. Thus there is a cooling channel in the twisted conductor for the radial flow of coolant. To ensure that the partial conductor bunch forms a coherent twisted conductor there is a casing in the region of the bend. This casing is a glass-cloth binding pre-impregnated with epoxy resin in the B state. Because of the improved filling factor, the structural height of the transformer can be reduced, resulting in the elimination of the paper insulation itself and the longitudinal intermediate pressboard layer. Moreover, the intermediate pieces can be thinner since there is no longer any need to allow for the expansion of the paper in the spacers.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 1993Date of Patent: December 19, 1995Assignee: ASTA Elektrodraht GmbHInventor: Kurt Jagersberger
